I believe you're building up muscles - that's the good thing about it.
I can't say anything else than keep it up and eat good portions (don't skip any meal)
Eat properly.
Otherwise, try to talk with you fitness coach, maybe he/she can tell you something.
Sorry, can't say more than this... hope it helped

It's hard to determine whether it's your diet or not if you don't post your average
daily diet and your stats aka height/age/weight/gender.

Did the scale told you that you gained weight, or did you notice
that you gained because your clothes feel tight?
When people gain muscle it replaces the fat (obviously).
Muscle weighs more than body fat so you would weigh more on the scale.
I lost inches but I weighed more on the scale.
Maybe thats what happend to you?
And you cannot properly loose weight and keep it off if you have a poor diet.

You're probably gaining muscle mass. Do you feel slimmer / not as flabby?

If your diet is good, it is probably because of muscle gain. Initial stages of weight loss you tend to increase in weight, although you lose fat mass. Muscle weighs so much more than fat that it isn't really that terrible if you do gain a little bit of weight; chances are it's good muscle.

Does it really matter if you lost or gained a pound or 2? Don't you think how your body feels and what the mirror is telling you as being more important?
"But when it ends and while it ends, something comes, after so much rage, persistence, obstinacy, extravagance; something entirely unexpected and touching in its mildness and goodness. With the motif passed through many vicissitudes, which takes leave and so doing becomes itself entirely leave-taking, a parting wave and call, with this D G G occurs a slight change, it experiences a small melodic expansion. After an introductory C, it puts a C sharp before the D. . .and this added C Sharp is the most moving, consolatory, pathetically reconciling thing in the world. It is like having one's hair or cheek stroked, lovingly, understandingly, like a deep and silent farewell look. . . . " (Mann: 55).

d k is right. weight doesn't mean a thing compared to how it looks in the mirror or your bf %. more lean body mass will help you in the long run.
