okay so everytime i'm surfing on firefox, every couple of minutes a pop-up window shows and its one of those random ads.
i know my computer is infected with something but i don't know what?
i have avast on it and just did a full scan, it removed like 14 viruses but this pop up thing is STILL happening!
how do i get rid of it! help me please T_T

i knew i should have upgraded my norton :X

It could be adware, or malware. Avast only has virus and spyware protection I believe?

I suggest you DL MBAM, update, and scan.

dled it and running the scan right now.
so far i have 72 infected files and its only been running 7 mins ;;

what should i do to the infected files? delete, quarantine, repair?

Can you post up the log once you're done? I'm curious to know what you have. I usually just delete all of them after I take a look at what they are.

malware isn't working T_T

everytime i run the scan, it scans fine; 101 infected files :X
all by one stupid trojan.v?.h virus!

but when i go to deleting them, malware freezes on me.

i don't know what i'm doing wrong.

i've run the scan 7 times and everytime it gets to the deleting part of the files, my whole computer freezes and i have to restart by pushing the button :X

anyway, after the malware's huge fail, i called windows live support and after 2 techs supports and 2 hours of remote controlling, the pop ups are gone. FINALLY.
