Whats her name? Geisha (Sun aka Geisha)....Something like that, she was sucessful in America and is under a good label, she is not American born but Singaporean?
Well theres one sucessful one there, so the other can go, DAMN, I be not first?. LOL!
little facts from her wiki
1) Ho became the only Chinese singer to be invited to the 46th Annual Grammy Awards 2004
2) From 2003 to 2006, Ho’s first five English-language releases reached the top of the dance club charts of Billboard Magazine and London-based Music Week, making her the first Asian artist to score successive No. 1 dance hits.
3)For the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Ho worked together with music composer David Foster & Carole Bayer Sager to submit a song composition titled “The Light.”
But from the list you have given, the one with the best chance would be Charice, backing by David Foster and Oprah, what else do you need? Though she is amazing because she is young and can sing like that, so what happens when she is older? Will the novelty wear off...it may do...
Freja!

^I agree with you. From my point of view they're not there yet but they're on their way.
They're only popular with people who already listen to Korean music. People who don't have absolutely no idea who they are.
Is Big Bang planning to come over here? I hope not, they would get laughed at so bad.
^That's what I meant. I didn't mean that they're popular like Hollywood popular, but very popular to those who has been fans of the artist here in the US. I'm sure Se7en and BoA has as many fans as any Hollywood celeb and with support from all their fans I believe they have chances of making it big. About Big Bang, their chances of making it big is the same as BoA and Se7en.

Sure, lots of people know about and like Se7en, but I don't think he has nearly as much supportive fans as BoA.
Seriously, he lacks good promotions and doesn't have as much fans as BoA --- and that is what might make him fail even more.

How do you know?
do u keep count??? Se7en can kill the game if he REALLY wanted to, sadly he is in the wrong hands
if he gets better managment it's a wrap.
and get the Wonder Girls out of here, they are half ass performers
not being mean but it's the truth, they are stiff vocally and physically.

Well, of course I'm not exactly sure.
From the looks of, it seems like she's more popular and has more hardcore fans, in soompi at least (though I know soompi =/= the general public).
But I do definitely agree with you that Se7en is under poor management (RQM).
IMO, Se7en has greater appeal than BoA for America. I think he's vocally more talented than BoA. (watch BoA fans kill me now)
They are both hardworking and always give it their all in what they do, but BoA is the lucky one that's being handled and promoted better.

I don't think anyone else on the list will make it. Boa is releasing her first album here but seriously no one even knows of her existence here. Unless you have perfect english and strong distinctive vocals, you're not going to make it.
& Wonder Girls debuting in the US is a joke.

To be honest , I dont really give a crap for overseas Asian artists to make it to the American music scene . I'd very much rather see more Asian American talent coming out .
Agreed. We definately need more Asian American talent coming out . FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR EASTTTTTTT MOVEMENTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
I agree.
Exactly.

has a bad management team. He's going to debut on the march 10 but till now, not much has been done to
promote him to the masses, well except for some meaningless contests and amateurish vids. Undoubtedly,
Se7en has talents but his recent songs just don't really showcase his strengths. I hate to see him fail but I have to say,
the probability of failing is high. T-T Well I'll say Boa stands a greater chance than se7en to succeed since SM has been working
real hard to increase her media exposure. However, mediocre digitalised songs and generic pop dance will not get her anywhere.
She need to have better songs that make her stand out. This applies to Se7en as well.
If I have to place a bet on someone, I'll say Utada Hikaru. Her new english song, "come back to me" blew me away.
Although it kinda sounds like marie carey's songs, I gotta admit this song is amazing, I'm addicted it already. XD
Well except that she need more promotion and it sucks that youtube have her MV removed...That MV is awesome too,
I'm not sure for others but to me, it's so nicely done...
Anyway, Good luck to all three of them.

Unfortunately, it's true, I agree.
Waaah, I don't like to see Se7en fail.
Damn, you RQM!!!!! Everything is falling apart.
I can't blame Se7en with this U.S.-attempt because it's a dream/goal of his. He was determined to try it out, even if YG didn't push him to do it.
I just hope he comes back to Korea with dignity left, and take over the stage there again.
I also love and support Rain, but I'm kind of iffy about him wanting to pursue music in the U.S.. I think he should stick to acting.

- 8eight!
- Far East Movement
- Monica Parales w/ School Gyrls. I have a feeling they'll be a Miley Cyrus kind of successful, without all the scandals. I think they have an upcoming show? o_o

David Foster got the writers for Whitney Houston and Celine Dion songs to make songs for Charice.
Plus Charice speaks good English.
Oprah Winfrey is the one who organizes Charice's appearances, from clothes to venues.
Expect Charice album to drop November.
EDIT:
Basically everyone in the Philippines list.
Arnel Pineda is already successful, he is on freaken Journey.
Journey songs are like a classic on karaoke bars everywhere in the world.

Did you forget JIN the EMCEE? He's already broken into the US market along time before BoA and Se7en, baha..

He's a Chinese guy, and he's really well known in the hip hop industry. He's probably one of the best rappers in the world, and possibly even the best freestyle rapper alive. I think he's friends with Far East Movement... but a little more well known?
He's also collaborated on songs with a ton of big names like Wyclef and Kanye West... freaking Kanye West!! hahah...

The only thing with Jin now is that hes not really active in the US anymore other then having collaborated with FM's new CD. but other then that hes pretty much been in HK mostly.

Thank you Ryushasha! Bad management, they went about managing him in the US the wrong way. He should of been doing so much more, doing small shows in clubs, getting uest spot on dramas, be out their in the public eye.Yes, he is very talented, much more talented than Rain. Good Luck Se7ev!!!!!!

she still doesnt have her own songs thats why she does a lot of covers. most of the new popular singers here in the US llike kelly clarkson and jordin sparks cover other songs too in american idol so i dont think that its just her song covers that do the wow factor... lets admit it... the kid can sing... and she can sing well... people like oprah, ellen degeneres, celine dion and david foster will not waste their time if she doesnt have a talents... especially david foster... so im sure charice will make it big here in the US
as for se7en... it takes a very long time to debut... i think because the people managing him are being cautious because of what happened to hikki and rain... they dont want him on the same path... plus theyre trying to study what genre will be the best for him to debut... singing ballads is good but to get a good audience that will buy his album they have to have the right choice of song... so i think "girls" will do good... because most of the songs that are on the billboard top charts are on the same genre and it will be likable in the clubs too...
as for rain... i dont know... i knew him from his acting skills in full house... i like some of his songs... hes popular to most asians... but i think the bad thing that happened to him was bad management... the first part of his concert series was good... even his first concert in las vegas had good reviews... i think he better focus on his acting career because i think people around the world will recognize him better on his acting skills... im not saying that he is not a good singer but for me his acting skills are more dominant...
boa... she is popular... she is good in english... she is a good dancer and a good singer... but she is not for the american market... dont get me wrong... she has talent... but she is not the type that the american market will buy... people say that she will make it but i dont know... there are people from other countries that made it big here like rihanna... she is originally from barbados but was able to get in the american market because of her talent, her fluency in english and the people that work with her... all of these elements are needed to be successful....
utada hikaru is also a good singer... but like as what i said before... she is also not the type that americans will buy... i saw her "easy breezy" video and its ok... but i dont think its ok for everyone...
arnel pineda is already making it big... he didnt start big because like charice, he was only discovered in youtube... and perfect timing is also another factor that helped him... because the band "journey" is needing a replacement of their main vocalist and arnel pineda fits in well... and i dont think arnel should be here in this category because he is part of a band not starting as a solo artist...
to wrap things up... i just wish boa and se7en good luck on their debut here in the US this month... i hope se7en will make it through the clubs so when i go clubbing i hear his music... haha
i also wish charice good luck on her debut...
