Charice's label is BIG, Warner Brothers, and her producer is David Foster and her Manager is OPRAH.
End.

I actually thought it would be more than that..

it would make better sense to some people that boa and seven would be at the top of succeeding as asian entertainers in usa.
i think it would be much less biased when non-asians voice their opinions about who is better than the other.
especially non-asians who have listened to a larger portion of american music than asian music.
but of course it's still fun to make our own arguments for the time being.
i actually thought bi would have one of the biggest chance at the top in usa.
especially since he was voted first as time magazine's most influential persons.
he made an appearance at trl and i don't know what else he did but there was no hype whatsoever over bi.
maybe his company's promotional ability suck but c'mon, he is in the business for a long time already.
seven have been promoting in the usa for years.
before lil' kim, there was amerie and that didn't do anything to his name.
it's cool that his company is really trying to get his name and face out there.
but when i saw his mv with lil' kim, he looked so stiff and puny with the mv chicks.
hanging with the mv chicks (or candy girls) is like the ultimate scene for male singers.
why didn't they go with danny from 1tym?

The song he did with Amerie --- a song he was featured in (to be exact), was not meant for U.S. exposure.
It was only included in the album that Amerie was promoting in Asia --- basically, it was her 'Asian-version' of her album at that time.
It was meant to expose Amerie more to Korean fans, not Se7en (since he was the big star in Asia/Korea).
I think the main reason why people might have seen him as "puny" or "out of place" in the mv club scene, was merely the fact that he was Asian.
Let's face it, people aren't used to seeing a polished-looking Asian guy being in a club scene like that (full of Black and Caucasian women).
Why didn't they go with Danny? Because Se7en wanted this.
If Danny wanted this, then he probably would've tried... but he didn't.
That's so awesome that big time (legendary) celebrities take interest in Charice. ^^
Her name is definitely well on it's way in becoming a household name (if it hasn't already).

Wonder Girls need to save themselves the embarrasment
because they are gonna flop, no one is into medicore girl groups.
I am honestly sick of non talented groups getting all of this hype, if they become successful I will puke
and say "shame on you" to the people who made them a sucess.
Crap music like theirs, PCD, Danity Kane is just taking away from people who are actually talented.
This thread turned to crap boy I tell yah.

and there are plenty of asian guys kicking it at the club. where have you been?
again, it's cool that his company is pushing him out there into the scene.

blink.gif what does that have to do with anything?
i think she only sang 3 songs. I think what he is trying to say is , charice touch again people`s lives in her performance in her latest gig in the celebrity fight night, she rock the house again.
IWS - Ali kissed and hugged charice for more than 30 sec, after her performance
billi jeans - Josh Groban , Forest Whitaker , Reba Mccintyre are having a good time

It doesnt matter if asian kids like it. It needs to appeal to white people to sell, and right now gangsta asians are so lame that record companies will see ANY asian trying to act hard or cool as another William Hung.

Have you heard her new album This is the One yet???
Her songs do have an american feel but with some Utada flavour in it!
If they had anymore of an American feel they will be crap

Yeah, but there are plenty of artists who can rock the house and touch people's lives
I'm not knocking Charice's singing skills because she CAN sing, but people act like she is the best thing sinced sliced bread and god's gift to the singing world. (I will read anyone who fix their mouth to say she can sing bettr than Whitney Houston)
Yall obviosly don't listen to enough of the TRUE divas with.

Charice is a great vocalist, but I heard there are plenty of powerful vocalists from the Philippines.
Sarah Geronimo would've been a better choice for me (to cross to America), because she's better looking imo.
But I guess she didn't get attention like Charice because she's a little older (1988), and is already an established singer in the Philippines.
Charice was recognized at a much younger age. So I guess people think it's more impressive because she was recognized so young?
(not surprised if I get attacked by a Charice fan with this comment ><)

I don't think a lot of people think they'll succeed, lol.
Probably the hardcore Wonderfuls are just trying to be supportive about it.
I admit, I do like Wonder Girls (but I'm not a big fan enough to call myself a 'Wonderful'), I like them only as................ kpop stars. xD
If they're stepping in America, I can't judge them as just 'kpop stars', I have to be objective and see if they're honestly decent for the market (same as other Asian singers coming to America).
I definitely have doubts, but the only thing I can do is wish 'em luck! xD

Utada's album debuted on the Billboard 200 Chart at #178 with 3,062 sold. That's just her online digital sales though since the physical CD will be out on May 12.

Plus, all the youtube Charice fans scare me. .__.''
Utada's new song fits in pretty well with whats popular in the market now, so I suppose she has a good re-start.

I know right? I was surprised when I found out because I never heard any talk about it until I found out that the album got shelved. It makes sense though because AI speaks English fluently (not sure if she came from the US) and her vocals are good.
