When I hibernate my PC, it always turn itself on ~8 hours after sleeping.
Can I prolong the timer? Or force it to stay hibernated?

I suppose you have already taken a look in your BIOS? There may be some configurations you may have to look at.
In windows, there may be a program being scheduled but with a timer and it could be about turning the computer on or shutting it down...
I've heard about some random updates forcing the computer to start back up <--- I believe this only happens with Vista, not XP...
There may also be something in the Scheduled Tasks (Control Panel)...
I don't think the mouse configuration (when moving the mouse, the computer turns on) has anything to do with hibernation. But Stand-By and Sleep mode. But who knows... I haven't tested this problem out...
Hmmm... What other possibilities...
