My friend told me that a food she occasionally indulges in is:
Chocolate Covered Bacon?!!! O_O

I've never tried it before but now I am very curious. Has anyone tried this combination?
What other chocolate combined oddities are there? Please do share!

Here are some pictures.

Lol. I don't think i'll be trying this combination anytime soon. I can see how it would taste good though but just knowing that there's a peice of bacon inside all that chocolate just doesn't sit well with me. sleep.gif
Some say i'm a genius, others say i'm crazy
but they all say i'm a little on the weird side

Sounds kinda gross....

Though I did have chocolate covered potato chips before. They weren't all that bad, had the salty/sweet thing to it. Though the ratio was a bit off and there was too much chocolate last time.

I love chocolate and bacon but I think together would be asking too much ._. It doesn't sound too healthy to me T_T

Instantly thought of Vosges when I saw this.
I'll be the first to say that it sounds pretty good because I like that sweet/salty combo. I like dipping bacon into maple syrup. Not healthy at all, but it's yummy.

isn't that like... UNHEALTHY TO THE MAX?!

1. i don't really like chocolate that much...
2. i only like bacon when it's a bit oily, not dry, haha ^^;;

it kinda looks a bit... not.... good. my mom, dad, and sister would LOVE it though. but not me. i guess i'd try a bite or two smile.gif

God bless~ smile.gif

Not a health nut, but that doesn't even seem good. The bacon is salty and meaty and the chocolate is sweet. I just don't feel it.
I won't bother since I won't read the rules and they won't accommodate.

Oh, you guys are all prudes lol. I'm sure when people heard about grind meat they were all like "WTF?! Why will you do that?!?!" but hamburgers are really popular today!

Anyways, yea, I did it before, it was good! Dark chocolate is best of course, so the sweetness won't overpower the saltiness of the bacon.

And it's not that bad once you think about it. Bacon is just pork, a very thin piece of pork at that, bacon fat has just as much calories as olive oil and just as much cholesterol as butter. And chocolate, you use dark chocolate so very little sugar but a lot of anti-oxidants.

Also, salt and sweet are perfect together. Salted caramel? I mean, everyone dip their french fries into their sundaes at McDonalds!

eeehh
me no like.
my tongue is not flexible for that kind of weird flavor.
as i crave for something salty and indulge myself eating that salty bacon then all of a sudden
the sweetness ruins the moment!
yepp. this would be my tongue's reaction

It sounds pretty gross to me, probably because I hate both chocolate and bacon...

I find it's a disgusting combination, no offense =x Something sweet and savory together is not a good mix. I love chocolate covered pretzels and strawberries though.

A bit strange...but who knows?

Maybe it tastes really good (although it probably isn't the healthiest thing ever lol).
