Anyone taken Sat II Math 2C before? Share tips and suggestions..

I'm interested in those who have already taken it though, since Collegeboard doesn't publish their official Math 2C tests...
1. How much did you miss/omit, and what was your score (or highest score if you've taken it more than once)?
2. How did you study, if you did at all?
3. Which books did you use to study from? Which one was harder than the real test, and which one was easier, or about the same? (i.e. Princeton Review, Barron's etc)
4. Did any type of problems stump you on the test? Probability, graphs.. ?
5. Any last tips?
I've heard Kaplan & Princeton Review are the best books but I'm not sure about this. Princeton Review seems too easy. Barron's (and Arco) are a lot more difficult in comparison.
Thanks for helping me out. I'm really nervous but I really want an 800 on this one.

- Omitted none. 1 wrong -- 800.
- Took a few tests from Barron's
- See above. Barron's is definitely harder than the real test... I think I got 3-4 wrong whenever I took the Barron's but it helped me prepare for the real thing.
- Nothing I can really remember. It's been a while though.
- The curve is extremely generous (you can make 5-6 mistakes and still get an 800 I believe?) I would definitely keep track of the time and pace myself though. I remember struggling to finish the Barron's practice tests on time (TV...) but I didn't have any problems finishing ahead of time to check over my answers. If you're a slow worker though, I wouldn't suggest omitting any more than 3-4 questions at the end (given you answered every other question correctly.)

780, I omitted 5 I think.
2. How did you study, if you did at all?
No lol
3. Which books did you use to study from? Which one was harder than the real test, and which one was easier, or about the same? (i.e. Princeton Review, Barron's etc)
I didn't study
4. Did any type of problems stump you on the test? Probability, graphs.. ?
I forgot the forumulas and I didn't get the vector problem. Yeah study your vectors.
5. Any last tips?

Just study and review. It's supposed to be pretty easy to get 800 if you study and practice.
I didn't study for it and I forgot my forumlas hahaha, so yeah don't make the same mistake.

omitted 8, wrong ?, 760
my friend skipped 4 and got 800
another friend skipped 6 and got 760
2. How did you study, if you did at all?
went over a few practice tests
3. Which books did you use to study from? Which one was harder than the real test, and which one was easier, or about the same? (i.e. Princeton Review, Barron's etc)
used Barrons, didn't like it. I knew that they overprepare you so I didn't take it seriously
4. Did any type of problems stump you on the test? Probability, graphs.. ?
I'm really bad at statistics and there were quite a few on the test which is why I skipped so much. everything else was pretty straight forward.
5. Any last tips?
pace yourself! the first 20 questions on the test were really easy and I finished them really quickly. however, the next 40 questions were pretty challenging so I decided to take my time on them. but at the end I was pressed for time and panicked (don't panic!) I ended up skipping around alot and didn't get to check my answers.

I ended up omitting 14 questions and got a 710 lol. I'm guessing I got 0-1 wrong?
My advice: STUDY!!!!!!! Learn the material you don't know. If you were like me and didn't know close to 1/3 of the exam, um...good luck! lol
I ended up buying the PR book at 10PM the night before the exam, so I studied that for like...three hours lol. I think it was a good book. And I had Barron's before that but I never opened it because it was TOO DAMN COMPLEX AND CONFUSING. DON'T USE IT!

2. One practice test every day for a whole month.
3. Barrons was so hard to plow through, but it helped me a LOT.
4. None.
5. STUDY. DON'T PROCRASTINATE. I love math, but I know that I wouldn't have gotten a good/perfect score if I hadn't studied.
Also, pace yourself. There's so many questions, so little time.

i HIGHLY recommend sparknotes. i kno, wth? but yeah, it's the best book out there; their tests are really close match to the real ones, and their review is really good.
1. How much did you miss/omit, and what was your score (or highest score if you've taken it more than once)?
omit 5, later knew I missed at least 2. I got 770. I retook again, but canceled my score @_@
2. How did you study, if you did at all?
Yes-first time
you NEED to study. the 2nd time I had to cancel cuz I didn't study and I was sooo troubeled by all the problems
3. Which books did you use to study from? Which one was harder than the real test, and which one was easier, or about the same? (i.e. Princeton Review, Barron's etc)
I have Princeton, kaplan, Barron, Sparknotes.
Kaplan book kinda sucks, but it has alot of practice stuff.
Princeton is ok, kinda disorganized. Their tests are harder (a bit) or about the same
Barrons=way too hard. Not really realistic, but it has ALOT or practice problems that u should do. Also, u should know everything in here, just in case. Like december, there was a question on STANDARD DEVIATION, which I don't ever reacall reading from any except Barron's.
Lastly, Sparknotes=excellent. Tests=very good, review chapters=very good. Must have.
4. Did any type of problems stump you on the test? Probability, graphs.. ?
I personally suck at probability and solid geometry -____- depends on what ur good at
5. Any last tips?
study, study, study. Pace yourself, and if a problem is taking u more than a minute SKIP IT and go back later. DONT be careless however. my sat teacher taught me a trick to save a bit of time; write the letter of answer really big next to the problem; when u have about 2 minutest left, bubble all answers. cuz bubbling each quesiton actually takes alot more time. =) any time u can save is good right? ^^
