How Cheap Are You?

For me:
1. A car - I could get one, but that'd eat into the amount I could save / repay loans each month. I'm living in the so-called "downtown core" of my town, about 5 minutes from work, so it's not such a big deal.
2. Furniture - Yeah, my studio apartment is set up with about $500 of used office furniture. It looks pretty homey, actually. I credit my GF to this.. haha.

Furniture is overrated. People can sit on the floor. Better yet, the lack of furniture is a deterrent for people to come over and freeload.

I don't have a car either, everything's within a few streets so buying one doesn't seem worth it to me just for the odd occasions that I need to leave the area.

no matter what you do, your $$$ still goes somwhere (spending is inevitable).
the only way to be cheap is don't spend your $$$ at all. for eg; live at your parents and beg them not to pay rent, starve yourself, eat your neighbors food etc.
money is money, it comes and go. and 10% of your$ goes to the govt.
and my say to the topic well, i'm cheap when it comes to spending. what i mean by it is, i try to look and compare the lowest price possible when i'm buying something.

I don't believe it's important for me to spend money on designer brands to show it off like "I have money." It's not like I'm officially in the job field, maybe I'll get one of those, when I have a stable job. But not now when I'm still in school....or going to zagat rated restaurant all the time...just my 2 cents.

Hmmm, I think I'm an adult now
However, of all the things that I do buy, I try and find a practical price.
Recently I'll be purchasing a lounge, home entertainment system, dining set and a bed. All of which will be under AU$10,000.
