The Amazing Race, sometimes referred to as TAR, is a reality television game show in which teams of two people (except for The Amazing Race 8, which had teams of four people), who have some form of a preexisting personal relationship, race around the world in competition with other teams. Contestants strive to arrive first at "pit stops" at the end of each leg of the race to win prizes and avoid coming last, which carries the possibility of elimination or a significant disadvantage in the following leg. Contestants travel to and within multiple countries in a variety of transportation modes, including planes, taxis, rental cars, trains, buses and boats. The clues in each leg point the teams to the next destination or direct them to perform a task, either together or by a single member. These challenges are related in some manner to the country or culture where they are located. Teams are progressively eliminated until three are left; at that point, the team that arrives first in the final leg is awarded a large cash grand prize, usually one million U.S. dollars.
It's been quite a while since I've seen a TAR thread, and it's a great show. This season I think is pretty good, considering the teams they choose are pretty entertaining but nothing much can be told yet still the later episodes. They have a first deaf contestant and he's such a sweet heart to his mom I'm leaning towards them but honestly there isn't a team I don't like XD. Makes it quite hard to choose a favorite. We'll see who turns to the villans, who makes alliances, and who comes out on top.

- Note 1: The U-Turn in Leg 4 was a Blind U-Turn, i.e., Margie & Luke were not required to reveal themselves to the other teams as having used the U-Turn.
- Red means the team was eliminated.
- Green means the team won the Fast Forward clue. A green-colored leg number indicates that the Fast Forward was available for that leg but not used.
- An underlined Blue team's placement means the team came in last on a non-elimination leg. It is unknown for this season what the penalty is if a team comes in last.
- A brown » means the team chose to use a U-Turn; « indicates the team who received it; «» indicates a leg where the U-Turn was available but not used.
After teams were eliminated they were sequestered at a villa in Ko Samui, Thailand to await the finale. CBS posted short videos on its website after each episode aired in the Pacific time zone to show the eliminated teams interacting at the villa.
