I don't really like talking on the phone so much and texting is easier since I can do it pretty much anywhere!
don't hate, appreciate. ❤ avatar credits: opera [UG]

Anywayy... I mainly text my best friend. She and I don't have the same phone company anymore, but we both have unlimited text, so heyy... We talk a lot :x It helps, especially when we're stuck at places, bored, and need someone to talk to.

My friends and I always work different hours and days, so we don't always see each other, so when I am reminded of them or I want to know how they are, I drop in a text, since I think it's less intruding than calling when they might be busy.
Annndd, I have some out-of-state friends, and it's easier to keep in touch with them via texts between different time zones than setting up a good time to call each other.
I text my brother and sister reminders. "Buy some eggs, please!" or "Mom's birthday is tomorrow, buy some flowers!"
Otherwise...I don't text people I don't know really well. And I don't use it to vote for stuff (extra charges? No thanks!).

I don't like to phone people. For one thing, I'm very shy, it's hard enough for me to start a conversation in real life but awkward silences over the phone just seem to make it all magnified for some reason. I don't like to impose either. Some things I can just get out better in text than in voice.
The same reason to why I text.

58 texts would be a 1 min phone call, and there's no mixed up messages. Plus there's some pinkberryassery involved in texting because you don't have to actually talk. I like to hear my victims voices. mwahaha.

My dad used to get mad at me for texting a lot (when I depended on him to pay for my phone bill)
But now that I pay my own I got an unlimited texting service haa =D
