"This is an OS option which can't be installed via mobile Internet (better known as OTA or Over The Air).

You'll need to download and install Desktop Manager (I recommend 4.2 SP1 - not SP2) and the latest OS from your provider. Links for all provider's software download pages is available here.

Once you've done that, start Desktop Manager and plug in your device. If the device's OS is not the latest, Desktop Manager will recommend upgrading. Follow the directions. When you get to the list of OS components, you should see all the Language and Input support modules available - select the ones you need.

If your OS is up to date and DM doesn't start the Application Loader to upgrade the OS automatically, simply double click on Application Loader and follow the directions above.

Hmm, did you do ALL of the steps?

Does anyone have the Blackberry Tour or has any experience with it? I think it's only available through Verizon?

It's also for Sprint. The phone is a mix of the Bold and the 8900 Curve. I'm using it right now and I just can't put it down.

I finally got my hands on a Blackberry yesterday & I love it! I also prefer this over the Iphone, where practically everyone in HK uses...

Which Blackberry model do you own? Blackberry Curve 8900
Did you personalize/alter it? Not yet
If so (to the above question), how? N/A
What OS do you have? What's your provider? Three (3)
What theme do you have? Precision Zen
Where'd you download/get this theme? Pre-installed in the phone
Ringtone? Patron Tequila - Paradiso Girls
Text tone? Haven't got one yet
Anything else? :]

My BBM isn't working sad.gif
I have one person that I BBM with all the time, but when I tried sending her a message yesterday, the clock symbol just stayed next to my name (instead of becoming the check and eventually the D to confirm delivery). I tried taking the battery out and restarting my phone, but that didn't do anything. Around 11PM I tried resetting again, and this time BBM began working again and I received a flood of e-mails (ones I had received during the day, but hadn't been delivered to my phone). I tried BBM-ing her again this morning, but it hasn't worked since. Anyone know what's wrong?

Oy, that has to be stressful!
I don't have a solution, but did you try checking out crackberry.com? If you post in their forums, someone usually replies with an answer. Hope that helps!

The screen comes up every minute or so & I can't do anything with it there!
I've tried pressing the mute button but it doesn't work?! Help??

To use bbm you need to have a data plan.

Does anyone have any suggestions for really nice themes? I prefer them nice and simple lol.

heyy if my question is redundant sorry!!

So I just broke my phone and my friend has an old blackberry curve/pearl from verizon that he no longer has a contract. So if I activate the blackberry do I have to pay for the data plan? Oh, I'm from verizon as well.

I saw the post where the storm or any blackberry must have a data plan, but this is used... )=

so is it the curve or the pearl? anyway, if you are already a verizon account holder, then you should be able to have them activate that phone for you under your account/number without you having to get a new plan or contract.

Hello there everyone. (: I'm planning on purchasing a Blackberry Bold pretty soon; but before I do, I want to know a bit more on the battery life. On average, how long does it last? And how often do you text message/web browse? Thanks!

I don't go crazy on text messaging/web browsing, but in case I decide to, I'd prefer it to last more than a day. I'm not fond of charging a phone every night.
