Since I don't have the Data plan for T-mobile, how am I supposed to download applications? The blackberry app world doesn't work. It says i need to have a data service plan in order to use it

you can download third party apps via their own websites. the ones i've gotten are twitterberry and beejive. you just have to look it up on google.

ALRIGHT. i just bought the blackberry storm 2 on wednesday, so ive had it for about three days

i have no idea what to say about this phone.
the storm 2 met MOST of my expectations,
but failed to hit the basic points. mad.gif

i love how you have so much freedom with it. like with the themes and stuff. its my first blackberry

its REALLY. REALLY. hard to text on--and highly inaccurate
thats the part that disappointed me the most.
the keyboard completely sucks.
its supposed to be a LOT better than the storm 1. i can't even imagine how bad the storm 1's keyboard is.

example:
when you put your finger on a key, it highlights it.
i would put my finger on "i", and "i" would be highlighted,
HOWEVER, when i fully press down the highlighted "i", a "u" would show up on the screen sleep.gif"
it's so frustrating to type on. i can type on my itouch with ease, accuracy, and it'll be fast.

thats the other thing.
the storm 2 tends to lag. when i scroll in landscape menu mode,
the screen will whir up :/
AND. my phone freezes pretty often. i'll be in the middle of a text message and type in my message, and it'll pause for 10 seconds and THEN show up ALL AT ONCE on the screen.

i waited so long for this phone >.< when the first one came out in november, i held off buying it, since the verizon worker told me the keyboard was terrible.

now that the second one came out, im EXTREMELY disappointed.
i'm an avid texter, and i literally make a typo i every word.
i guess i'll keep my phone for another week, just to see if this phone miraculously improves. [probably not]
&& then i'll test out the droid on friday to see if i like it better. if i do, i'm gonna return this phone.

anyways, sorry for the long post T_T
if anyone has any questions about the storm 2, feel free to ask [while i still have it. i'm highly considering switching to the droid when it releases on verizon next week]

BTW, another thing that drives me crazy:
on the storm, when you text,
the "send" text message button is right next to the "call" button.
because its so inaccurate, i've accidentally dialed people SO many times.

twitter TUMBLE with me? [four-one-one UNDER CONSTRUCTION (: i've def. been on a hiatus]

So the first Blackberry i got was a pink 8320 and i loved it but it grew kind of outdated so i upgraded to a Bold, however after using it i find the Bold to be quite ugly and its bigger size isnt a good fit for my hands lol so I got rid of it and then just got the new curve 8520...but now i realize the screen isnt as good as the Bold sad.gif do you guys think i should just stick with the 8520? I really like the touch trackpad instead of the trackball. I know theres a new Bold 2 coming out but that would be pricey. The white Bold is nice but i know it will get dirty since my phone is in my bag alot. I just need some like reassurance that the 8520 is okay lol.

I'm not too sure if I'm allowed to, but I'd like to share some blackberry wallpapers I have saved onto my computer. If you choose to use them, please let me know which one you used and let me know if you'd like more! smile.gif

Okay, so I'm a part of T-Mobile.
Do I have to purchase a warranty or do Blackberry phones all come with a standard one year warranty?
Because my head phone jack is now broken..and I don't know how to fix it... =(

You can sell it to get money back. laugh.gif Compared by specs, bold is worth more.

I was at the Tmobile store checking out the bb's because I didn't know which to get. I would prefer the trackpad over the trackball because it'll be less of a hassle to clean the ball. For me, I felt like the curve is too small. I would get the bold, but no money. sad.gif

^^^ sad.gif it would seem i traded the higher end for the lower end! lol

before, i thought the Bold was too big/wide, and the back leather cover felt weird under my fingertips. i got cases for it but it just made the size even worse.

but on the 8520, the trackpad is nice though. reallly nice. i always had trouble with the other bb's trackballs getting dirty and it would annoy me so much!

i think ill keep this bb, and sell my other phones to get a Bold again hehehe

Ringtone? ----> Nothing Else by Dontae
Text tone? ----> BBPro_Sanguine

I just got my blackberry bold 9000.

I was wondering, how do you change the options in the main screen?

A question for the girls here:

Can you still type on your BB with long nails? Like 4-7mm?

yeah, I can still type. my thumbs do most of the typing and it's fairly easy for the tip of my thumbs to type since i dont have big fingers even though i have long nails.
