you right click what you want, and then click Save Image As..
(and then give it a name)

Once you save the image, connect via USB and then go to Blackberry Desktop (when you first get your blackberry, unless you want to keep it free of updates/upgrades, you should install the CD that came with it. There should be a CD that says something like that)
If you don't have the CD, go to the Blackberry website..or even just search Blackberry. And then download the desktop...it shouldn't be that hard. Just get the latest desktop thing, it's.. 4.6?


Anyway, once you go to Blackberry Desktop, go to Media Managing.. there should be 2 divisions. (one on top, which has your computer files, and the bottom which has your phone's files)
click to where you saved the image (ie desktop if you saved it there)
and then click "pictures" (depending on if you have a media card. if you dont have a media card, just click pictures.. if you do, click Blackberry and then pictures)
Once you click Blackberry's pictures, and you have a media card, you should have some pictures that you already took on the bottom screen, unless you saved it onto your phone memory.
You can choose to save it either one, but I prefer the media card one.. anyway, just click your image and then click "copy down".


Once you have your picture, go to the picture that you just got/took and then click the blackberry button (left of the trackball) and then scroll to "set as homepage" and then get out.. and it should be in your homepage :]

too bad i can't go on the internet nor do i have a memory card to transfer the wallpapers & ringtones on it D:

btw, i have a curve with at&t and i've had it since last year. i used to be able to go on the internet when i first got it, but then my mom freaked out and took SOMETHING off. she said if the bill gets high again cause i go on the internet, i'll get my phone taken away, so i was scared to LOL.
but i have so much stuff i want to put on it, so i tried going on the browser. it would load for a little, then a message popped up saying:

"you are not currently in an area that can handle data communication. as a result, the browser cannot retrieve any web pages"

i try going on it at different places cause maybe it doesn't have good signal? but it's like that everywhere o___o; so i don't really know what's wrong.

i thought you can still go on it even if you don't have a data plan, cause my brother goes on his chocolate phone to download ringtones or whatever, but he has to pay extra for the data charges.

The internet only works if you have the data plan in your phone bill plan,
your mom probably didn't know it was there when you first got your blackberry,
then noticed it after the bill came out and took it out of the plan.

It's 30$ a month to do that.

You can also just send pics to your phone through the computer,
I used to do that when I had the chocolate by LG --;
Like I would said to 1234567890@verizon.com or whatever it is

FYI, when cleaning the trackball, and you have already taken off the silver ring and go into the trackball piece, PLEASEEEE do not dissemble it. i was following the directions on one of the text 'how to clean the trackball' thread and i pretty much took the whole trackball apart.

thing is, they can't be put back together so i had to order a whole new trackball from ebay.

so yeah, when cleaning your trackball, just pop off the silver ring and just clean the insides and the ball itself... DO NOT take the whole thing apart! lol

Yes, go to the profiles application.
Scroll down, click Advanced ...
Then you'll see a list of the profiles
Scroll to the one you want to edit (the one that you want to vibrate for texts and melody for calls)
Then click the blackberry logo (left of the trackball) and click edit
Scroll to SMS text and click your trackball.
Change settings so that it reads:
Out of holster- vibrate
ring tone - (whatever)
volume - mute
Then click back arrow and go to Phone and click trackball
Make settings so that they read:
out of holster - tone
ring tone - (whatever)
volume - medium
Then it should work. Save and try it out.

It has actually worked for a lot of people. You just have to definitely know what you're doing (:
It's hard though I admit, that's why I didn't even want to give it a try.
But there HAVE been a lot of success stories (but more failed stories ...)

does anyone know how i can move saved messages from my phone onto my SIM card? it was on my sim card before but it got erased but the messages are still on my phone and i was wondering if i can move them back onto my sim.

i've been downloading themes from themes4bb.com and my fone OS is 4.2 and the theme i DL is 4.2 but when i tried to install it it says no additional application for your device is found o.O. also i see some themes for 4.5 OS is there anyway I can get those on my phone? btw i have 4 themes on my fone so yeah the msg only pops up for some of the themes. weird.

any sites to get games on the blackberry? im bored of the main game lol

I actually have never tried to download a language pack,
so I don't know exactly how to do it.
But an OS is an operating system,
You can find out your OS
by going to options -> about

The quote I had said you need the latest OS
I think 4.5 is the latest for blackberry curve
so just make sure you have that or download it
