I really dislike children.

But I did something mean today.
There's this kid and his sister that come into the store a lot.
They're really chatty, and a bit attention starved.
I can only tolerate quiet children so I usually ignore the pair.

But anyway, I was taking a lunch break and the boy sort of starts following me, asking, "Are you taking a break? Or are you leaving for the day?"
I've been having a hellish week so I just stared at him coldly, said, "Why are you talking to me?" and continued walking.
The poor little boy mumbles, "Um, nevermind" and walks away.
Five minutes later I am feeling awful.
He's annoying sure, but he's just a little kid.

To make a long story short, I found the little guy, I apologized and offered to buy him candy.
He said I was weird and only his mommy buys him candy (smart kid).
We're cool now, though.
