so if you HAD to choose one, either an insult to your physical appearance or an insult to your personality, which would you rather be insulted for?
i'm asking because my best friend told me her crush says that she has the perfect personality that he likes in a girl, but she doesn't meet his expectations for physical appearance. He's REALLY into big chests and sex -.-. He said to my friend that she's not bad looking even without makeup, and that she's not ugly at all. He also said she's proportional and well-balanced (figure-wise). But, my friend has a small chest, which is a big disadvantage for the reason i mentioned earlier. Now she thinks he's not going to go for her because she has a small chest (she's skinny though, which is why he did say her body is proportional). She felt that because he's so shallow (which he obviously is), she'd rather he compliment her physical appearance than her personality.

What about you guys? which is more insulting? "i would so date her if she looks hotter", or "i would so date her if she has a better personality"?

I'd prefer to be dissed about my physical appearance. I just don't give a damn about it, so I don't particularly expect someone to compliment on it.. (nor diss it, but like I said, idc.) I just hope your friend doesn't change for the worse for this guy. She's got to value her personality, as well. But it's understandable how him complimenting her appearance would be more impacting since he cares about it so much = =.

I would prefer people insulting my personality because that's who I am and I love my personality so it wouldn't hurt at all if anyone told me my personality was horrible. Also, people insulting your physical appearance hurts more and lowers your self confidence, imo.

Personality, easy.. Why? Because I know I have a great personality. I'm easy to talk to, I'm generous, caring. And people comment on it to remind me. The only time someone would mention something bad about my personality is because they did something bad to me, thus resulting in an arguement and them wanting to insult me.

Physical appearance is very important to me. I try to keep my body in great condition, so for someone to be like "Your eyes are so gay, you asian scum", would be worse.

since i normally get the comments on my appearance all the time.
one's self is their own biggest critic. _ but personality.. do many people know what their own personalities are like? o-0' is it more of a social image created by others and different people?

then if we look at appearances.. anyone can look bad. and anyone can look good.

I prefer to be dissed about my appearance. If I were dissed about my personality, that would just go straight to the heart. Your appearance is continually changing but character is hard to change. And when you come to like your appearance and someone doesn't find it acceptable, you can change it; but when you come to like your personality and someone doesn't find it acceptable, it's so difficult to change... yourself!

I would pick personality, and I've got dissed about it before. It was that big but I felt very betrayed. If someone dissed about my physical appearance then it'll just make me unhappy about myself. Personality, I can also adjust to environment.

personality cuz i would be able to shake it off. im easy to get along with and if someone didnt like me then its probably because we just dont get along and therefore i wouldnt care if they hated my personality because i probably hate theirs too.

i would hate to hear 'oh i like you but you're not very pretty'. that would completely kill my self esteem.

It really depends. Some people are good looking, but they don't try to make themselves look good. You can just tell, that if they changed their style up and started caring more, they'd be a hottie.

And theres some that are "good looking" but in fact their face isn't too pretty.

Anyways, if it's that you just don't care, then I'd say physical appearance. But if you DO care and try, I think someone would rather them diss their personality. Personality can change if you try to be nicer and whatever.




for me, I'd rather someone diss my looks. I really don't care about my looks since people used to call me cute or whatever but I stopped caring years ago.
