What would be worse? Hurting someone you care about or angering them? And yes, there is a difference. And why? Would it be bad for your sake [because it makes you feel bad] or for their sake [because you made them unhappy]?

x_X let me put down my definitions first..
anger = frustration _that can be handled properly most of the time.
hurt = damage _from frustration, misunderstandings or disappointment.
if you hurt someone. it's like a hole in the relationship. it can be patched, but it'll open again unless words can heal it. if not..
if you piss someone off, you just have to brave through the rough storm in the relationship till it calms down. and everything can be re-built through talk. _ friends fight, after all..
if someone's angry because they're hurt... then that's just.. something best sewn up the best one can and left in the past.
_ then there's that funny thing how we want to hurt those we think we love _ i'm not sure if i've read an article on that though_ probably was inspired by a scene in LOST haha..
anger signifies misunderstanding. and hatred: a strong feeling that is in the same realm as love, but for the other reason. but we don't want someone angry at us.. it's like our childhood fear all over again. parents. that feeling of being a disappointment. to have failed those we care about most.
hurting someone you care about makes you feel guilty. maybe self-righteous. sadistic and powerful. it also feels a bit like a drama.
..it depends how much you care for that person. more than yourself or not?
i think most people don't want to be hated. x_x' it's rather selfish [no more love] but..reasonable..
the other option is noble. nothing more. o-o'

inflicting hurt is so much worse. they forgive, but they'll never forget.
if they're angry, they can get over it
if they're angry, they can get over it

Hurting them would leave scars.
Anger, they can forgive & move on.
I don't ever want to hurt them.

Hurting them is much more worse then anything in the world
becausee it breaks ur heart a hundred times more
Sometimes the only person that broke it can only recover it
But when ur hurt and mad together that feeling is horrible

lol i've experienced anger AND hurt together
it's like..you're lost or iono O.O unsure how to react, how to calm yourself, iono, i hate feeling like that
like the other soompiers said
i rather anger them than hurt them
it's like same thing as me
i rather have my s/o/friends anger me then we all get over it
than hurt me and leave a scar inside me.

I've experienced one without the other and even both at one point in time. It stings a lot worse to be hurt rather than angry. Having both makes you angry at not just the other person but yourself. You begin to feel lost and wonder what you did wrong and what is there that you can do that is "right".
