I tried searching this thread for a topic like this but either I didn't try hard enough or there isn't a topic on it yet.
I was wondering how you guys chose daycares for your kids. Did you look at their websites, go to the schools, what did you base your decisions on? Oh and was cost an issue?
Thanks so much for your help!!

It depends on what you're looking for.
I don't have children, but I've worked for and with Child Care programs quite a bit.
First off, the best thing would be to look at their accredidation; are they meeting requirements, exceeding them, etc? Childcare requirements are very strict (I'm assuming you're in the US)... and if they're surpassing all of the ones laid out there, then you should be doing good.
Next, you should research their programs; what type of environment do you want your child being in? Do you want a place that's strict, one with lots of games, one with educational enhancement, etc?
After that should come price. I'm not one for both parents working once a child arrives... but, not everyone feels the same way... and then again, that isn't always the situation for a parent. If you can afford it without jeopardizing a reasonable lifestyle, then go for it. More so than not, you get what you pay for.

Thank you so much for your help. Do you know how I can find out about accredidations of the daycare?

The best thing would be to ask them; if they're reputable, they should be more than happy to show off their accomplishments.
