I am really wanting to look GOOD for the summer.

I am very bulky though, my brother was a wrestler.. so -- yeah.

I am Male.

I am 5'11, 200lbs.

I really want to shed the pounds and tone out nicely.

And I have no gyms in my town, because I live in the middle of California. sad.gif I do have a weight bench.

Could I get all toned by the summer?

If so could you recommend some videos/food guides?

Thank you!

i'm guessing most of your weight is fat and not muscle...

you would first have to shed 30-40 pounds first to get rid of the fat..
if you're 200 pounds then to maintain weight would be a 2000 calorie diet a day
since 3500 calories = 1 pound then to lose a pound a week would be a 1500 calorie diet.
i do NOT recommend going below 1200 calories a day because that is not enough nutrition to stay healthy. a pound a week is a good weight loss plan. you can push it to 2 at the most by adding cardio.

a good cardio for weight loss:
intervals
0-3 minutes sprint
3-4 minute walk
4-7 minutes sprint
7-8 minute walk
and repeat for about 30-35 minutes..

then, there is an 8 minute ab workout somewhere on the forum that REALLY helps sculpting your abs

do that everyday with the calorie counting and cardio and you should be nicely toned within 3-4 months

your like me lol.
6'0 @ 215 here,
but i play football so i need my weight...

i mean, dont try to take short cuts..just do it the old fashion way, where u'll feel a lot better about urself.
getting toned takes time (i've done it once, but i needed to gain it back)
and depends on your fat %. if your like 21% like me, u'll need a lot of work.

weights only make the muscle, but if u have fat over it, u'll just looks HUGE, but not cut.

CARDIO IS THE SECRET.

run how ever much u can.

jog, walk, w.e...
u live in cali, so i'm guessing the weathers nice.
enjoy the sun and run.

and i've had problems with motivation, but just like think of all
the things that can be better if u had a hot body. i mean..girls girls girls.
u'll be healthier and everything. so motivate yourself, and i'm on the track team (i throw shot and disc)
and i run with my friends after everything ends like a mile, and it's basically more motivation to run with your friends
after that hit the showers, go home, hit the books, and go to sleep

oh yeah and food!

just eat man, i mean calories is like:

wen u eat it, it gets stored as fat unless u USE it.
so i mean, eat healthy.

basic:
breakfast- 2 eggs, toast, oatmeal, cereal, fruits.
lunch- sandwich
dinner- chicken, lean meats

snacks: protein shakes

i don't know if you'll actually get a very defined 6 pack by sumemr but you can definitely tone up the mid section.

Cardio is very important to abs and not just cruniches and such.

You really want to start off with cardio running lots.. crazy amounts to shed the fat.

Eating lean meats and more veggies will cut the fat as well. You'll also want to eat regularly to speed up metabolism rate.

then harcore ab work out every other day.. at least a break in between to heal up the muscles.
you'll want to do combination ab crunchies.. sit ups. leg raises.. do at least 25 reps.. just one set. for all exercises you can find.

on the off days you want to use you bench. There's lots of routines online but take it easy so u dont hurt urself.

If you can fine-tune your diet and NOT splurge....keep a consistent workout / cardio routine it is highly possible. I have pushed my friends to do what you're trying to do and they are ripped like no tomorrow. If you can find a friend to push you and help you NOT cheat... then that would be highly beneficial.

well the first thing u need to do is shed the extra pounds, or your abs won't show at all. =/

the best way is to a get a track/sweat suit... or w/e it's called. basically its like a full plastic jumpsuit that traps in all your heat, so you sweat like CRAZY when you run.

sweats out the fat... o:

bad idea. the sweat suit just removes water weight.... and not fat. the suit is only use if you want to lose weight for like a day

best thing to do is find a good diet. trying to get in shape without dieting is like trying to create a time machine with a paperclip and 9v battery. also, you wont see any results in a 3 days so i dont see your how getting buff. just cut out all the junk food like chips and sodas and you be on your way
