Curvier On One Side (waist)

My waist on the left side is like straight down with a slight very slight curve, while my right side has a wooping huge curve running down it. It's like someone kicked me on the right side and dented my middle section. This could possibly be the results of me getting lazy when doing crunches, but yeh. Will doing more crunches on my left side even things out?

My mom noticed it a few years ago, didn't think it was anything. Then last May I went to go get my belly button pierced, and they noticed the curvature on my right side, tried to get the marker dot as straight as possible and did it. Needless to say, my hole doesnt quite align straight.
So my mom took me into get x-rays after the doctor checked the curve out.
A few weeks later I go back and, woohoo, he tells me I have scoliosis.
I have a 20 degree curve in my spine, which isn't really a big deal unless it shifts to 40 degree and I start experiencing pain.
From what I recall, if it curves more than 40 degrees, you have to get spinal surgery to fix it... but I'm sure you'd notice if it was that bad.
I'm not saying you have scoliosis, but you should definetly go to a doctor and keep an eye on the curve.
Hope this helped!

Scoliosis!?
I remember in 7th or 8th grade we did a spine check and the nurse said I was fine. I am now a junior in high school.. is it possible for me to have been developing it!?

x: I have a curvier left side.
ehh, I agree about going to see the doctors.
Maybe ask 'em about it when you visit them next time?
My doctor checked my spine and said I was fine. >>

Yeah, fix your posture when you sit and stuff cause my friend got surgery when she was a senior. My sister's scoliosis is getting worse too, her doctor told her to do stretches and exercises so you should too! (:

I'd say to fix it you just have to work at it, try re-positioning your posture all the time, go back every year for x-rays on it and the growth-rate of the spine. Or lean to one side

..how would you know which side to lean?
towards the side thats curving in more, or the side that looks normal.
