So I'm in major need of new windshield wipers..as is my sister.
Anyone with suggestions for a good set that won't make us want to rob a bank?

We just saw a commercial for Rain-X so I just figured I'd come here and ask smile.gif
oh, and we both drive a Toyota Rav4 (mine is '01 and her's is '08).

Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions!

Rain-x. I've always used Rain-x blades and glass treatment.

I just ordered a set of RainX Lattitude wipers from their website. $38 is ok. No idea how they perform since I haven't received mine yet.

One note, they take ridiculously long to ship (est 4-6 weeks).

Better to just find them at Kragens or Autozone or whatnot.

I use the Valeo Ultimate Blade from tirerack.com. This blade is only $20 and buy one get one free the last time I checked. This is a flat blade type, so its similiar to those fancy rain-x lattitude, bosch icon, etc.

I still can't believe my current set has been on my car for three years (I moved it from my old car when it was totalled onto this car) and still works fine. It has definitely exceeded my expectations!

when they say buy one get one free, do they mean buy one driver side wiper get the passenger side wiper free?

or buy one driver side wiper and get one driver side wiper free/passenger side wiper get one passenger wiper free

The Rain-X ones are good, but since we usually need to replace wiper blades every year, I wouldn't go out buying the Rain-X ones which don't sell the refills.

There is the good old Trico Exact Fit which work fine and cheaper, and most stores sell the direct refills for these which should save you money. Unless you live where it rains very often, I would stick to these. I haven't tried yet, but it is possible the Trico refills might fit into the Rain-X blades. I'll try it on my car soon.

Bosch also makes better quality wiper blades that costs a bit more. Look out for buy one, get one free type deals at your local auto parts shops.

I'm definitely all for a buy one get one deal if its available lols
But Rain X doesn't sell refills? man that sucks..I don't want to buy them if they don't b/c I live in MN where we get blasted with snow and rain so I want a set that I can get refills as needed..

Thanks very much for all of your suggestions!
I'll keep them in mind when I go buy.
Will probably make a run to Autozone or Checkers later today smile.gif
