and after a little ogling at the 'fine young lady in a white top, something black underneath and some short shorts'
he turns to me and says "dude. you HAVE to do this favor for me"
...sure. i get a lotta free apple almond croissants and water from his bakery but...
x_x' w/o skipping the fact the young lady has a brain....
wouldn't you think less of a guy that had his friend to ask for your number?
...xX' or would ya just give it all too willingly ?
_to other guys/men... >>' i know it's common stuff between mates to do. but isn't there also that truth? "why can't he just do it himself?"
_ technically. i was asking her friend . cos she already hopped off the train- to my mate's unusually fretted heart strings.
so.. i was asking her friend for her friend's number for my friend/mate... >_>' his logic was that the only way he could get her number, was for his friend to ask her friend for her number... can't believe it makes sense now that i think of it.
[rofl. no. i didn't get it. >>' i wasn't in the mood. so obviously it turned out as i expected _ haha.. he's going to try find her next week.. ]

Then, I thought, you are one terrible wingman. And then, I think anyone would think the other person sucks and is cowardly if they have to go through the back channel to get a phone number.

i mean it is kinda cowardly x:
i'd much prefer a guy just approach me himself XD
but, i understand that sometimes it's difficult.. x:
and i might come across as mean and difficult to approach xD
but, i don't think i'd turn them down for that.
i might think a bit less of them. but only a bit (:

I like confident guys, the type of guys that doesn't need to go around others to get my attention and show interest.

the detail i left out was that this girl he was interested in supposedly checked him out -in return. and all these other paranoid signs he takes as ones of interest, like standing close to him before she got off the train.
_obviously the way i put the question, the answer is as i expect.. [and friggin' told him before i did his dirty work]
x_X' but say you were slightly interested back~ what then? >>" you'd be a lil disappointed right?

The girl wouldn't know that the guy asked his friend to do it anyway.
His friend would probably be like "i wanna introduce someone to you" bla bla
Well unless the friend is plain dumb or just wanna make you fail then I don't think they will know lol.
If they did know anyway, I guess if she likes the guy then she wouldn't care.

I like a guy who shows confidence,
and asking a friend to ask me for his number
shows pretty much zero confidence.
asking me himself, would make me think more of him.
and yeah. I would be dissapointed if i was interested.
and I would think less of him. but idk what i'd do .__.

Before my boyfriend and I started going out, he had my number but didn't even know my name. His friend asked my best friend what my name was. I actually thought it was hilarious and cute.
Stuff like that doesn't make a guy any less of a great guy and an awesome person.

Humm i'd think it was cute if the guy was kinda shy about it
But i'd be a little turned off if i didn't know it was for a friend or if I didn't know he was gonna give my number to his friend
I'd rather the guy just ask himself
