WHY? i'm a nutrition major & i read food labels like it's my job

WHY? everything is bad in excess

YES- for companies food additives provide texture and added taste among other qualities

YES- some... not really in specific

chemical esters imitate the taste and smell of natural ingredients, are they safe? yes.. if you're allergic they are bad... and anything in excess is bad for you. however if the ingredient is something like MSG then obv. you should stay away
