I'm fairly skinny but I have no waist, it just goes straight down and it doesn't help I have like no boobage. Is there any exercises I can do that will make my waist appear smaller. I don't want to lose weight anywhere else since I don't want to be skinnier than I already am! I think I'm skinny fat though, how do I tone myself without losing weight?

edit; and I did 8 min ab workout before because someone got a thinner waist when they did it in their before & after pics but someone else said it makes your waist disappeared so I stopped. Would that help?

if you have no waist your fat. run eat healthier then run some more. 8 min abs helps nobody that isnt already low enough in bodyfat percentage but its good exercise!

^she just said that shes fairly skinny. just because someones waist isnt curved doesnt mean their fat. their body is just built that way.
by saying that you are skinny fat, ill assume you mean that you arent fit?

i think you need to work out your waist or abs with oblique exercises? lol i dont even know how to spell that.
that way the fat on your sides will go away and maybe your waist might appear slimmer.

also you should do ab exercises that makes you go from side to side, for example the bycicle.
i noticed that after i did started to do those exercises the curve on my waist started to show a bit.

but then some peopel are just built with a straight wiast and sometiems the most they could do with that is make it umm angular you can say? but not all the way curved.

sorry im really bad at explaining stuff sleep.gif but i hoped that helped.

umm I don't think you can ge a smaller wasit. You probably have a boyish figure which isn't all that bad.

I don't have a waist as well and if I lose more weight it'll be coming off my hips- making my wasit even more non-existent!
You'll just have to dress appropriately for your shape.

try the korean hoop?
it makes your waist narrower, thus emphasising your hips more, which gives you a more curvy body =)

I weight 90.2 lbs and I'm around 5'0 tall. I'm really small for my age (people mistake my age all the time. D:) and I eat like crazy and stuff but I don't think I gain much weight because my metabolism is fast? That's why I don't want to lose weight but be toned. I don't think I'm fat at all and I'm not obsessed with my weight or anything, I just need a waist to appear. XD

Thanks for the replies, I'm going to start doing some oblique excercises? (I thought that would make your waist bigger cause muscles building up?) and the korean hula hoop thing; we had one but we gave it away. ;____;

Running is the answer to everything? How do I tone the inside of my thighs, my thighs are small but their jiggly, that's skinny fat, right? Isn't running going to make me lose the fat there? I don't want to lose the fat but make it .. un-jiggly because with the fat there gone I'd look groosss.

Hula hooping, squats, leg lifts, and doing a twisty kind of exercise (twist torso as far as you can to left while standing, then as far as you can to the right, repeat as long as you care to), sometimes with dumbbells, seemed to help me get my waist more defined, but that coincided with puberty... how old are you? You might still have time for your curves to start kicking in :-D even if you don't, like others have said it's not such a horrible problem. A lot of people do find a boyish figure attractive biggrin.gif dressing for your shape can help, but there are worse things than not having a teeny tiny waist (not that yours isn't teeny tiny, but in proportion to the rest of you :-P).

Wait let me get this clear, your saying you have no waist, and that it just goes straight down? And you want your waist to get smaller? Why if you have no waist?

If you're around 15, you still have A LOT of time before you'll get your curves. I basically remained a stick until I was 16 (went on a cruise, pigged out at the 24-hour buffet, and came back home 20 pounds heavier xD). You shouldn't be worrying about losing weight, you should worry about gaining weight. Maybe gain a little on your hips/chest, and it'll look like you have a waist smile.gif

If you're a little older than 15 (about 18 or so), try a corset? :/

Someone probably already mentioned this (I didn't bother looking through all the replies) but that just might be your body. If you're skinny, you work out, you eat healty, yet you aren't uh... curvy, then you might just be a banana (or someone who has a generally straight body).

Hope it helps.

I'm the same way = =;

Gaining weight would make you curve more.
but it's not easy..

Does it have to be a certain kind of hoop or can it just be any regular hula hoop? Cause my aunt has one and it's really heavy. Is that the one?
Haha sorry I've never really heard about this Korean hoop thingy smile.gif

Isnt it those heavy ones with those little semi-circle dome cups along the inside of the hoops?

^ Isn't using those heavy hula hoop with bumps in the inside bad for your internal organs?
I read from some threads, some soompi members got bruises from using it too.
Because technically, the bumpy parts repetitively hit your stomach, so after prolong of use of the hula hoop, it puts lots of strains to the delicate internal organs in the mid-section area...

if you would like to give yourself a waist, do some ab exercises.

but if you ever want a quick waist when you go out and such...

wear a belt at your waist.

If you're still very young your body probably hasn't finished changing yet. Really depends on your age or it could be like what kinein said and you may be "skinny fat". You can do back exercises to create somewhat of an "illusion" that you have a skinny waist. It'll make a V shape going down to your waist.

Honestly, if you're still young just give it some time.
