I'm like really suspicious right now of unfair grading and I had witnessed in comparing my Ochem response to my lab partner...he gets full credit for giving a response "It's hydrophibic because it's soluble in water" whereas I get docked off for saying the same thing he did + furter explanation. My TA docked me off for not including another reason and I'm like WTF, my partner just wrote that measly statement and gets full while I get a docked off for writing more. Another is my quiz grade, I'm pretty sure I knew all the answers and end up getting a 31/40...I'm like...wow, she's really docking me off for something negligable, I drew my mechanisms correctly and such...but wtf? Are you any experiencing this right now? I want to talk with my professor when I get my quiz back..

yuck! Ochem.
I completely understand where you are coming from. If I was in your situation, I'd photocopy my friends answer (w/o his name showing) and bring it to the TA. If you already discussed it with the TA, and you still feel justified in your answers I would move on up to the professor.
If you just run to the professor, s/he will usually ask if you discussed it with the TA.

Yes I totally agree with the above statement. However I would go directly go to the professor.
At the end of last term I got a 76 in the only Philosophy class I was taking. I hated the view of the B on my transcript so emailed the prof, asking if I could get 1 point more because of bla bla and he simply changed the grade under the "recalculation form." In your case, it is even more justifiable so surely it'll be fine~

Been in the same boat several times before. My friend and I would sometime "confer" to discuss the questions, and one of us would still get a better grade than the other. I say talk to the TA and if it isn't resolved to your satisfaction, go one higher and talk to the prof.
I won't bother since I won't read the rules and they won't accommodate.
