So... my doctor said something regarding my spine, she said "no vigorous exercises at all, just keep to swimming"

But i can't go to the swimming pool cause its very far from my house and when school starts i'm only able to go once a week.
I'm wondering if any (small) exercises that'll keep me fit without hurting my spine.
i dont know what's wrong with my spine too actually, but im forced to cut out the exercises i've been doing.

i cannot even do wogging :T
or dancing, any sports like squash, volleyball
running, kick boxing, aerobics, pilates etc..
yoga is supposed to help right? but my parents won't let cause they afraid i might strain it again.
>_<

oh if u nid this,
im 16 this year...
any suggestions? im turning fat and its bothering me a lot >_<

Its just another ordinary miracle today.

I would find out exactly what was wrong with your spine. Also how long are you not supposed to exercise for. If you are in a medical condition where your primary caregiver tells you to NOT do anything but swim - LISTEN TO HER. Ask for more info write down the important details ~ No one should give you ANY recommendation to do any exercise other then what your doctor told you until you can clearly state what happened to your spine.

my cousin has the exact same problem and swimming is the only thing she can do but it is just best to listen to your doctor since he diagnosed you and not listen to us. the spin is so important!

Can you get to a pool to swim?
I wouldn't go against doctor's orders for injuries. It's never a good idea.
Eat really healthy and cut out junk food. That should help you maintain your weight or lose some.

Well.. the doctor didn't tell me exactly the problem but she said
its not normal for a teen at 16 y/o to have this problem
my spine gives out "cracking" noises, sometimes sore if i try on my back, sometimes hurts but not often.
my mom suspect that its osteoporosis so now i'm drinking Anlene.

the pool we had beside our neighbourhood was just removed last week. =(
if i really have to go to a pool, it'll only be once a week..
Its just another ordinary miracle today.
