sorry if a thread similar to this has been posted up already. i don't remember seeing one here.
so anyway, for the past 2 days, i've been waking up at 1-2 in the morning, having slept only about 1-3 hours each time. whenever i wake up, i just can't go back to sleep. i'm tired, but i just can't sleep. initially i thought it was the horror movie i watched but i can barely even remember what the scary scenes were anymore T.T i'm 17 this year, i'm 5 feet 6, weighing about 110 pounds, i exercise regularly, i run about 5km every week. i've never had a problem with sleeping ever. i'm generally a very heavy sleeper. i doubt its stress that's making me lose sleep because its the holidays for me now ><
can anyone help me? i just want to sleep without having to take medication (cause i'll become dependent on the pills), thanks (:

That's odd, I'm usually tired from excercising so I pass out when I go to bed.
Maybe you should go talk to your doctor.

just go to the doctor
they won't necessarily prescribe you pills
and its only been 2 days, so i dont think its quite insomnia as such..

Could be just a phase 
Don't worry yourself over it too much until it continues on for a few weeks. Your body is like a battery when it runs out of energy or is tired from lack of sleep you'll pass out and re-gain that much needed rest.

i have the same problem and that for like 2 weeks already.
the longest ive slept in those 2 weeks were 4 hours, 1h30mins the shortest.
i'd just wake up and usually feel pretty awake for the first 2 hours then im back to being sleepy
but i cant fall asleep for some reasons, even when im back in bed & the laptop far from vicinity
[it should be really easy actually since its usually still dark when i wake up (around 1am-5am; depends on when i fall asleep though) -__-]
my heads been throbbing like aghh. doesn't help much that i go to an evening school and school doesnt start until 5pm and ends at 9pm.
id go to sleep at 11pm, wake up around 2am. and the circle goes on.
it sucks because i have an exam in 2 days but i cant get anything into my head O__o its like im a walking zombie ;p
edit; i sound like a girl on a caffeine trip lmao. but no, as much as i love coffee, i hardly ever drink a cup at home.
i even drink tea, lots of it LOL doesnt really help though xD

Juli~<3-i don't drink coffee (hate that stuff) so i really don't get whats wrong with my body T.T and nothing is bothering me. i'm doing pretty well at school and i'm happy so i don't think thats the cause.

maybe there's something bothering you.
always thinking about something.
that even you're really sleeping you feel like you didn't.
that happens to me almost all the time.
when i have deadline or have to do certain task all at the same time
cant sleep just thinking about it. when i woke up in the middle of the night
i find it hard to go back to sleep coz i will think about it again.
what you should do is not to think about it,
think about peaceful/happy things before sleeping to divert from the real issue.
sleep in comfortable place so you cant wake up in wee hours.
don't exercise and drink coffee before you sleep..

not really, cause i wasnt stressing over the exams yet when it started LOL.
i only started panicking bout the exam 3 days ago because i thought we had it next week and not tomorrow.
well, i dont want to go to the doctor yet ;/ ill have a week break before the next exam's up so i can be in bed all day long xD
i was actually thinking of sleeping pills if its not better yet by next week
