I've been continuing to lose hair like crazy, it breaks my heart every time I see hair falling when I wash, brush or comb my hair. I hardly comb my hair and they don't get into tangles much, I don't use excessive heat (blowdry/straighten/curl) and I don't dye my hair often. Is there a way to stop myself from losing hair? I'm a person who takes hair as a great consideration and it's really scary seeing them fall and fall for the past couple months.
If this helps, here's some of my history that I kinda think is contributing to my hair loss: I've been on a diet since two years ago, I was an anorexic but I've recovered. I've dyed my hair a few times in the past and the last time I dyed was the beginning of year (that was also when my hair started to fall). I've also switched shampoo/conditioner as soon as I noticed my hair loss. I don't have any bizarre disease and since this year is my HSC (same as SAT) year, I've been studying yet trying to get enough sleep (I'm a strong believer in beauty sleep) so I don't know if this is from stress or whatnot.
Please help? I love my hair so much, I don't want them to fall like this! Losing my hair has been making me want to cry... does anyone know why this is happening? Any cure?

if you're stressing that much about it, then there's no wonder you're losing hair.
a visit to the doctor's couldn't hurt. _ otherwise i'd just settle for "it's natural to lose some hair"
haha, i remember that tv ad about hair loss- with a topless guy at a beach saying it's a 90something success rate if treated early. [o-0' or perhaps you stopped watching tv?]
All the best with your HSC. and that new english module. o-0' belonging is it... -salutes-

Well, a day of people lose up to a hundred or more hairs a day. That is normal [yeah, look it on Google. It has answers]. If your hair is really starting to fall out in clumps, then I would go and see a doctor.

Omgosh yes.
I've been losing hair like mad for the past while now, and I can't understand why. I've tried changing shampoos/conditioners, but it doesn't seem to be helping. =\
I really can't understand why I'm losing so much hair. ;_; I Google'd and read about how it's normal, but literally when I wash my hair, CLUMPS fall off. I can tangle them into a ball. Every night. =( Makes me worried... D: D: D:
And... if you need to see a doctor, what could it be? D: Like... a disease / just in general / reassurance ? @_@

yeah ----- i was shocked when i noticed many of my hairs fell out. it still falls out, more strands than other people i know, but has frequently been decreasing in the amount that is falling. i believe it is due to several different reasons and you may find your answer here.
first reason: may be because of bad nutrition. maybe if you have an eating disorder.
another reason: used a lot of chemicals in your hair such as perming, dying, bleaching, and even leave-in conditioners or treatments cause your pores to clog sometimes. oh---and even oils can make your scalp greasy causing the pores to clog as well.
or even from stress like the other posts up there...
THEREFORE:
if you sweat, or have greasy skin, you should wash your hair before you sleep at night---i know people who do not take showers after they sweat like crazy because of sports and they just sleep, they might "wash their body" but they need to use shampoo
do not stress too much---i used to look in the mirror TOO often, and even count the strands of hair from my hair brush every morning.."56..57...58....etc." <not GOOD it will cause more stress>
if you have a bad diet, that can lead to hair loss----bad diet as in: not enough VITAMIN "B"s (grains--->i used to stop eating for a while because i thought i would lose weight if it stopped...but consequently, i lost more hair)
you also need to eat a VARIETY of foods... i used to eat only fruits and vegetables and meat ABSOLUTELY NO GRAINS (rice)... and ran two to three hours in one day for like every day of the week.. i BELIEVED that was HEALTHY and found out later, it is really NOT..
OH----yeah, if you lose a LOT of weight in a very short period, THAT can cause hair loss as well.
mm....i think my hair loss was due to stress, eating habits, AND using bleaches and perms like 3 times in one week <i feel like an idiot thinking about that now...>
ALSO hair loss is actually showing your overall body's health from two weeks back. so if you're losing hair now, then maybe you were really sick about two weeks ago??
and look at your parents, see if they had a history of hair loss....??
i am definitely sure this information is not 100% correct... but hope this helps... i know i've researched TONS of google sites to let you know
currently.... i use a shampoo cleanser called NIOXIN and eat vitamins from costco, oh and do not brush your hair so much when it is wet (more hair will fall out) brush it when it is dry.... and massage your scalp with the tips of the fingers sometimes also.
but NOT brushing your hair is BAD too....just for your info..
lol... sorry, i am very unorganized. and so is this reply.
