^ good advice
14? You still have baby weight. I think it's great how you want to look better but remember there will be nagative side effects by eating one meal per day. If you keep this up be prepared to face the doctor when they give you a list of all the health problems trust me..i've been through it. Not only that but you gain the weight back twice as fast, I went from 100 to 130 within 2 months.
Thanks it makes me feel better to know its still baby weight and I'm still growing, but it's insane when my friends that are my age vow to lose ALL their baby fat when they start dieting/excercising! @.@;;
Wow... Okay, the eating ONE meal a day; RIDICULOUS.
Something that I'm surprised about is how alot of people have not gotten it into their heads that eating less does not equal healthy/effective weight loss. And you're right, you probably will gain it all back. I am in no way trying to be mean, just realistic. I've just known alot of girls who automatically think less calories = weight loss and the less you weigh = the skinnier you are. Remember, the number on the scale is... well, a number :|
What you need to do is eat healthier and make sure you're eating enough. Your body needs calories to function properly. And it needs energy in general to move. If you don't give your body the nutrients and food it needs, you'll be passing out during exercise, feeling fatigue, etc. Not to mention your body won't be burning any calories if it's not even getting the minimum it needs to work. It's going to focus on your body functions, not helping you workout. Water is good. But endless exercise isn't going to help you much, just tire you out. Especially if you're not eating enough to compensate for physical activity.
You'll need to figure out what exercises are good for you. Even walking for an hour everyday will help. For me, I ride my bike, run, or walk at least three times a week. I do kung fu as well, but on days I don't, I go outside to keep active. Don't feel like you have to go to extremes. Don't overexert yourself feeling like you have to do a thousand crunches a day or run until you can't feel your legs. And may I remind you, muscle weighs more than fat. So you might not be seeing a smaller number on the scale, but you'll definitely be seeing a slimmer body.
And weight loss takes time. That's an important thing you have to know and just accept. It took me a long time just to lose three pounds, but you know what? I did it the right way. And it's been a couple weeks and I haven't gained them back.
So if you want to lose weight in a healthy way, a nutritious, plentiful diet and active exercise and most of all patience are the way to go. I mean, if you're looking for a fast way to lose a couple pounds, by all means do a safe crash diet. But those crash diets won't keep the pounds off if you go back to your normal eating habits.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or something.
I'm not an expert, but I've learned quite alot from different sources and people. I've learned alot of what is the right way and what is wrong way and little tips to keep yourself healthy. And that's probably the most important thing. Just be healthy.
Thanks you SO much for all this valuble information!
I'll keep these tips in mind! ^^
