First off, everyone says don't skip breakfast.

I really try to not skip breakfast but I always feel really nauseous in the morning when I smell food.

Is that normal or does that happen to anyone else? I know I'm not pregnant, haha.

It's like that feeling when you've eating too much that you can't stand the scent of food anymore. But this happens EVERY morning. I don't feel hungry and I don't even feel like looking at food.

Since I don't ever eat breakfast because of that, what would happen o_O

Second,

In the past 2 years, I've only gained half a pounds... but I've been eating normally. Is that unhealthy or do I not need to be worried about that?

I'm 5 inches 2 feet and 102 lbs.

I've read the rules but I'm still not sure if this is where I post this ph34r.gif

Well, you're "supposed" to eat breakfast, but I've been guilty of skipping it ... multiple times. Maybe you are eating too much at night? If it makes you feel nauseous, then I wouldn't eat it. Besides, you eat at other times in the day.

And gaining weight every year is actually a natural thing. Every year, your metabolism slows down a little so I think that may contribute to the minor weight gain? And it's not significant, so don't worry.

Try to ease into it, like eating soup. I used to skip breakfast too (and lunch for that matter!) because I always felt so nauseous smelling the food. My parents, friends and biology teacher weren't very happy hearing that... Very unhealthy (no energy boost in the morning) and in class people could hear my stomach, loudly. So I bought powdered soup (hey, I had to start somewhere, right?) and ate it in the morning and eventually I began eating more in the morning and got more energy(healthily) and no more stomach sounds!

So maybe you should try something similar to that.

^ tht sounds like a good way to get started

you shouldn't skip breakfast too often
not only will you lack an energy boost for the day
it's also bad for your stomach internally
a family friend never ate breakfast..never ever
and he eventually developed some kind of ulcer in his tummy becasue of that and had to go to hospital

i think it might have been because in the morning, when you wake up, your tummy is expecting food since it's been shut down/empty all night
and therfore will start producing digestive acid to break down whatever food you're going to have for breakfast
so if you skip it..there's no food for the acid to digest....so then the acid will just kinda..sit against your tummy lining and it will, bit by bit, start eating away at your tummy wall
i'm not 100% that's correct but it's was i think happens lol

Don't skip breakfast. Try to eat SOMETHING every morning (but it should be healthy). Eating breakfast will jump start your metabolism so it'll run throughout the day (without slowing down). That's why it's so important.

I used to feel nauseous when it came to eating breakfast, but I'm not anymore. I think the thing that really helped me was to not eat a late dinner. I might have a snack after dinner, but I'd go to sleep with my stomach fairly empty, so in the morning, I'd be feeling hungry!

most people feel nauseous in the morning and does not want to eat breakfast because of the stomach acid that is left over from digesting the food overnight. i used to be like that until my mom forced me to eat breakfast every morning. i cant go without breakfast now. its seriously the powerhouse meal of the day. if you dont have it, your blood sugar will be too low and you will feel lethargic. it disrupts your metabolism if you skip breakfast.

as for your other question, unless you have been eating more or less in the last two years with exercise or no exercise, theres no reason you would gain or lose weight. if you have been eating the same amount of calories with the same amount of daily movement, your weight shouldnt change no matter how much time has passed. half a pound probably isnt even on your body. its probably the clothes you are wearing while weighting yourself since certain fabrics weight you down. are you trying to gain or lose weight? i think your weight corresponds with your height.

I'm not trying to lose or gain weight. I was just wondering if I'm suppose to be gaining weight as I grow taller >_>

I skip breakfast because I don't get up early enough..
and even when I eat it, I'm still hungry by lunch time just the same. lol.
Everybody has different ways of dealing with this so..
Well I guess lunch is sorta like my breakfast since I get up really late sometimes.

If it isn't broken you don't have to fix it. At the point in your life where you are at right now if you look great, feel great, and on a day to day basis conquer whatever is on your plate of life. Don't stress it. Making stress and adding useless stress is a waste of time wink.gif Continue on with your life.
