Does It Matter If You're 100% Or Mixed Background?

Then there are people who are very proud to be of mixed ancestry and will list every single one, such as being Korean...Filipino...Japanese...Chinese...Spanish...Italian...White...Black...Lat
ino...whatever.
My question to you, how much of this actually matters in your life? It's been said in some cultures that being 100% is better.
Hines Ward talks about this in his video:

While in other cultures, people of mixed ancestry are viewed as more beautiful i.e. the Philippines.
Has being 100% or mixed benefited you in anyway during your life?

I have a thing with standing out , being different & All ,
so I guess the whole mixed thing wouldn't work for me . Though , I love being a combination .
'Coz , Tai & China both have amazing people . & I have amazing friends there whom I can travel back and forth to .
>__> ;; * Well not really , since I hate going back . But just saying .

But if you are mixed, you have the higher chance to know more culture and languages. Right?

I do think some people push it with the being mixed thing, it gets a little ridiculous.
You hear some people talking about how they're like 5% this and 3% that, honestly when a percent gets the small, it's time to let it go!
I know a girl who was like 5% African American so she considered herself bi-racial, even though she was the whitest looking girl ever and the rest of her background was of european descent. I think that if your grandparents aren't a somewhat large percent of it, don't even bother.

its pretty cool cause i get to "experience" things & people always say "oh my gosh u're mixed? no wonder u're so pretty.." or something like that..idk..i guess its fine in life to be either way..100% or mixed..
life is suppose to be mixed not 100% of something..otherwise whats fun in life right?
LOL

either way, there's nothing wrong with being a mix or a full, as long as you're proud of your own ethic

But does it really matter when we are all human beings to began with. I am sure if we look back in history, we are descendants from many ethnicity put together. In other words, we are all mixed in a way.

My dad's side just say they are Korean. =T and my mom says she is Korean too but sometimes Russian cuz my grandfather looks like a white and asian mix and my aunts look white asian mix as well as my mom.
I dont really think it matters but some people like to be exact! and later in life =T when marriage comes around some parents or distance relatives are strict about this whole race thing....
so by my ancestor book and my mom's side too im RUSSIAN KOREAN MONGOLIAN CHINESE..... to long of a list.. so i just shorten it as Korean. or something i just say Korean and Russian... and if people wanna no my ancestor background i tell them the history.
Noone is 100%..... they should have something in there... I know not many people have an ancestor history book =T but if you do read it... its interesting!
im proud to be KOREAN or Korean russian...
when people say im racist to white people or black or any other race i tell them im white mix lol and that shuts them up so in some case it is important =T
when i talk to adults they ask me wat i am and i say korean and tad of russian and they sai O know wonder you look different! you have white figure .... (and i look at them like wat? ehh? okay? w.e.? thank you???) or some people go o no wonder why you have light color hair like light brown and you have hazel eyes that turn blue and grey. =T
but ya personally i dont really think it matters =T

so what constitutes being bi-racial?

one reason is cause people always say i look mexican. no offense, but i dont want to look mexican. my friends say this is racist, im not being racist. why would you want to look like a race you arent? i dont.
another reason is, i cant just say im chinese. i dont look chinese at all.
and i cant say im caucasian. cause i dont really look caucasian either.
so i say both.
weird?

I'm not 100% Vietnamese, but I'll just say I'm Vietnamese and if they want details I'll tell them I'm 25% American. It's not a big deal to me though.
