I got accepted to Revelle College at UC San Diego, but... I don't think it's the right college for me after I've thought about it.


It has a REALLY high rate of students getting into MEDICAL SCHOOLS, which I am not interested in.


I would much rather go to Muir, ERC, or maybe Marshall.


SOOO, I heard that trading colleges was allowed?? CAN ANYONE VERIFY THIS?

....definitely NOT true, dont know where you heard that. for the pre-med thing, it doesnt matter which college you are in for UCSD, each college is FILLED with pre-med people. revelle people just has a little more advantage when it comes to GE. and dont start a new topic, you should've just asked in the UCSD thread.

no i saw it on collegeconfidential and i asked my friend that goes to SD and he said he heard that too.
i didnt knoe if it was 100% true or not.

No. Each college has a certain number of spaces for freshmen to meet its enrollment goals. Thus, there are no college changes granted. Experience has shown that once you arrive on campus, you will most likely be very happy with your undergraduate college. And a reminder: your choice of college does not affect your choice of major. Each college has students from every UCSD major.

Q: Can I switch to a different college?
A: Yes, after you complete the writing program and if you can demonstrate that switching to a different college will allow you to graduate with fewer academic quarters.

Sounds like you can only trade college AFTER completing the writing requirements.
