Meet up with him (somewhere public, but not crowded, like a quiet park)
and gently let him down.
say things like "this past month/year/etc was fun, but i just don't see it working out. i'm sorry."
be direct, but nice about it.
I am loved ♥

"You're a nice guy, but it's just not working out for me."

Don't try to justify your decision to him. Try to keep it short and simple.

Lol you should read the why girls like bad boys thread or something like that

So since you feel bad about breaking up with a nice guy...would you ever feel bad about breaking up with a bad boy? lol

Don't justify why. A few really good responses have been noted and you can use any of them. Just say it isn't working out and you don't see any future together. But make sure you breakup! Being in a relationship because you don't want to make them sad.gif is pity and pity relationships are pathetic.

Whatever you say, just make sure NOT to say the term "nice guy."

actually, to the nice guys i heard that those phony excuses like 'its not you, its me' stuff is what hurts them even more. just tell the plain out how you feel and voice yourself without trying to make yourself sound too over exagerrated.

mm, just say something like,
"you're a really sweet guy and I really enjoyed all the time we spent together. I was really happy, but now, it just doesn't feel the same to me. I'm sorry, and I hope you can find someone better"

You have to keep it short and simple. Get to the point fast.

"I think you're a really nice guy but it's just not working"

"I don't feel a chemistry between us"

"You're too good for me."

"It's not you, it's me. and I really do mean that."

I wouldn't suggest using the last two...based on personal experiences.
I like one of those responses up there. Something like, "....I'm really sorry, but it's not working out for me."
