This may sound like a stupid question, but do you talk a lot with your significant other?

And this is a question mainly for the people past that honeymoon stage.

I've heard that your significant other should be your best friend, and that makes complete sense to me as well. Part of being best friends is being able to tell each other everything and talking about anything and everything, correct? Well, I generally don't talk much - but to certain people I can easily talk nonstop. And.. I've come to the realization that my boyfriend/hubby is not part of that "certain people" group. I find it hard to keep a conversation going when I'm the only one talking, and so the only things we talk about is ourselves; our past, present and future. It's not that I don't WANT to talk, I just get constant mindblanks when I'm with him [or even just IMing him].

What's it like for you? Any advice for me?

sometimes, theres those relationships where its a bit hard for you
two to talk but the feelings make it up. these types of relationships in my opinion are the trickiest
types though cause without communication to clear things up, how are you guys NOT going to have
misunderstandings? theres also going to be those thoughts probably in his mind about why arent we
talking, does she still feel the same etc. etc and i bet thoughts like that would probably pass your mind too.

i suggest that you tell him about this. maybe you should tell him that when your with him,
when you dont talk it doesnt mean that you dont want to and that your just the type to get mind blanked
esily. you never know, he might even find it an adorable habit.

as for me, i do talk to my guy alot, even if its just the randomest thing. and maybe you should try that,
just bring out any random topic and dont be afraid to talk to him about things ;D

^ Well, we HAVE talked about it.. and so we began to question why we wouldn't be able to talk to each other - or rather, why I can't talk to him; he has no problem talking to me about anything. After a while, he said to me "I've figured it out, now you go figure it out yourself" but the problem here is.. I don't even want to think about it. I hate the situation we're in, but I'm the kind of person who just accepts each situation as they come and adapts to it. When I told my friend about our situation, his simple answer was "Go find another Joe then" [Joe's the name of my S/O], which just sounds stupid.. In other words, he's not helping, and I don't feel that I can really rely on many other people to solve my problems; I am me, after all.

awh ; its not your fault if thats hwat your trying to say! all relationships have their imperfections as they say and this is just one those those. if your guy really did have genuine feelings for you, he would accept you for who you are, even if it meant staying silent at times. you guys arent having problems are you? if your not, then you guys are probably just doing fne. unless he brings up the solid statement that he feels as if you dont talk to him as much, just try your hard to get through it.
