do you guys take corny things said by your gf/bf seriously?

i think there are just some levels of corniness that just becomes funny.. sorry if i offend you in this thread.

i take corny actions more seriously then words itself because sometimes its overplayed and who knows how many people they have used those words/lines on. that just sounded saying a pick-up line but idk .. not that haha

for example
when someone asks me what i like most about a dude i say 'hot as hair' because its erh its a turn on laugh.gif

omg but IF i ask them back and get this reply:
'i like thier eyes.. because its the window to their heart/soul' i think i would laugh hysterically!

i mean come on so cheeesy and ugh..

_______
well it might just be me that is not easily to soften over these things
plus im not serious most of the time rolleyes.gif

what corny things have your gf/bf said to you that you did take seriously?

I'm not good with sentimental gestures. When my s/o says something like "You know, I still get that nervous feeling like when I first met you," I just laugh it off and say something along the lines of "Aw, nice line, I wonder how many other people you've used that on."

I sometimes enjoy corny jokes but those cliche corny lines... no, I find those hard to believe.

I would take whatever my gf says to me with grain of salt bit of seriousness. Because I myself is a pretty cheesy/corny guy... =o=;

if a guy's dead serious about a really corny/cheesy line... i'd probably get reaaally awkward... laugh a bit... and then not say anything... cos i wouldn't know what the heck to say..
i don't like cheesiness.. it's like.. totally dak-sal moment.. =_= [goosebumps]..

but if two people are being all corny and cheesy with each other.. i think it's cute. =) i'd gag first but i mean, if they're that comfortable with each other.. sure, why not..

I reply with sarcasm because I don't take corny things too well.

It's cute though.

I think it depends on the context of the situation too. If a guy told me something really corny in the middle of a candlelit dinner with a mellow song playing in the background, I doubt I'd start laughing. I'd probably take his word for it!
However, this guy once sent me a text full of lyrics that he wrote for me. I had just woken up when I noticed the text was sent at 3 in the morning. It was soo cheesy, I couldn't even find it in myself to appreciate the effort.

I don't know. it really depends on the situation and how the person says it.

I don't like corniness either. Sometimes I feel their only saying it because I like it but honestly it's annoying

haha those are so funny, especially when the guy is trying so hard to come off as sensitive in front of girls lol. I don't like a guy who tries too hard to impress, i just want to like them for them, their quirkiness and everything xD
i sat through 45 minutes of a guy next to me telling this other girl about how much he loves his gf and all the things he wants to do for her birthday or whatever and every few seconds the girl would squeal "aww so cute"
it annoyed the HECK out of me lol. but i just found it so hilarious!
