it really depends on what kind of clubs u lgot to..? if u go to a club with older peeps u mite feel more comfortable kuz we drank and talk.. and if u decide to hit a club with younger peeps then they tend to try to catch attention and dance.. i mean i dance to but it really depends on how the crowd is... california clubs are pretty fun... i'd like to try other clubs and c how different thangs r tu...

it's so sad! I want to go clubbing forever!

I guess I'll stop clubbing when I reach my early 30s. I'm 23 right now.
I'll probably look back on this post when I'm 40 and laugh.

You're too old to go clubbing when they say "We're gonna take it back 20 years for this next song" and you say "Oh, this is my JAM!"

Depends really...I suppose it's ok to go clubbing even after you're out of your twenties as long as you have someone to go with or the places aren't full of teenagers. We all need to kick back every now and then, and that's ok. I do think house parties are better than clubs, though (and safer- less creepy men hanging around waiting to hit on girls, and not as expensive as some of the posher - and less unsafe- clubs where I live).

I live in NYC, and I think in general you don't really see girls older than like 28 or 29 clubbing anymore. For guys I think its a little older like around 35.

shouldn't the question be, how old is it when clubbing GETS old?
I'm 24 now and clubbing is definitely getting old...

the one thing i hate the most is when guys who look like they can be my father ask me if i want a drink or dance.
if you're over 21- and you notice that everyone around you is at least 10 years younger and get tired by 1, it's time for you to move on.
& for girls- its time to stop when no guy comes to you and asks if you want a drink or dance

my friends and i always mess around with the old guy when we go out and make fun of him :[
i feel bad for him, but 40 year old men shouldn't be hanging around college town bars and clubs trying to pick up girls

LOL that's so funny. Yeah. . .I agree with annebonny, I see girls in their late twenties clubbing and guys to their mid thirties still clubbing too. I think at a certain point in your life. . .you get tired of paying $20 for parking, waiting in line, dealing with promoters and paying $$$ for drinks (though if you're a girl, usually the male bartenders will give you a nice discount). . .but I don't know if there should be any type of age discrimination for club goers. I think it's up to the individual to come to that self realization that they are too "old" for clubs!!

I think lounges and bars appeal more to the "older" crowd. Right now, I'm grandma and I just stay at home. I only go clubbing occasionally when a single gf of mine wants to go out and go dancing

When your friends hold birthday parties at clubs, you don't really have much of a choice I guess. But instead of wanting to party til morning, I'm pretty much done at 1 am nowadays... LAME... haha. Truth be told, the getting ready to go out part might actually be the highlight of my night. smile.gif

when you have to ask someone in high school what music is playing.
let's all not give a crap and see if someone cares . . .
modern life is depressing.

When I stopped going clubbing, I felt pretty old.. haha.. had been clubbing hardcore for a good couple years since it's easier to get into clubs in Canada than in the US.

I guess the "too old" age is around 30 for guys? But if you've been going two-three times a week for a few years.. you'll burn out and get bored of it anyways. Then it might be worthwhile to settle down.

It must be harder for gals to go in late 20s, though. I mean, if you're 28, and getting hit on by 18 boys, that's kinda weird, isn't it?..

Cougars are totally in now.

As for the clubbing... I almost felt too young in the crowds I saw during my brief week in NYC. And yes, I'm 20+
