There are always new products claiming to eliminate your acne. I tried many products over the years and none of them work as well as advertised. Finally, I decided to try something different and I completely eliminated my acne in a month. Here's what I did:

1. Eat natural, unprocessed food. Nothing packaged, even if it says 100% natural.
2. Drink plenty of water.

That's it. I did not use any products and I washed my face with plain water. Although it sounds simple, it is more difficult to follow than you think. Eating only unproccessed food means preparing your own food at home everyday. Processed food causes acne because of the body's reaction to chemicals in the food. Restaurants can be troublesome because most items tend to have MSG or artificial flavorings so avoid as much as possible.

I guarantee your skin will clear up in a month if you try this method. No need to waste money on acne products.

I did what you did for awhile (except the face wash part, I use cleanser) and it does really work. I just added fresh fruit juices everyday.

Aww, yayy. smile.gif that's great.
I did the same thing (minus processed foods) and stopped using fancy face washes, moisturizers, etc and now I all I have left are the ugly dark spots to deal with. :/
If there's a natural way to get rid of it, lmk, haha.

I use a toner after I cleanse my face and then after it dries, acne cream and that made my skin pretty clear.
But yeah eating healthy food and getting the right amount of sleep is the best cure =]

Here's a good little intro to processed foods...

http://www.bodyecology.com/07/10/18/hidden...essed_foods.php
just don't buy whatever they suggest (the book and drinks)... it's just another marketing gimmick to earn $. The internet has all the recipes, and info you need.

Also this one
Processed foods have been altered from their natural state for safety reasons and for convenience. The methods used for processing foods include canning, freezing, refrigeration, dehydration and aseptic processing.

We tend to think of processed foods as bad, but it turns out that many processed foods are not unhealthy. For example, milk would be considered a processed food because it is pasteurized to kill bacteria and homogenized to keep fats from separating. While some people prefer to drink raw milk, most of us should consume the "processed" version we find in our grocery stores.

Another healthy example of food processing is frozen vegetables. While fresh may be best, freezing vegetables preserves vitamins and minerals and makes them convenient to cook and eat all year around. Fruit and vegetable juice is also an example of a healthy processed food. In fact, some orange juice is fortified with calcium to make it even more nutritious.

Of course, there are a lot of processed foods that aren't good for you. Many processed foods are made with trans fats, saturated fats, and large amounts of sodium and sugar. These types of foods should be avoided, or at least eaten sparingly.

Processed foods that may not be as healthy as fresh foods include:

* canned foods with lots of sodium
* white breads and pastas made with refined white flour, which are not as healthy as those made with whole grains
* packaged high-calorie snack foods, like chips and cheese snacks
* high-fat convenience foods, like cans of ravioli
* frozen fish sticks and frozen dinners
* packaged cakes and cookies
* boxed meal mixes
* sugary breakfast cereals
* processed meats

Processed meats might be some of the worst of these foods. Eating these meats may increase your risk of colorectal, kidney and stomach cancer. Processed meats include hot dogs, bologna, sausage, ham and other packaged lunch meats.

These processed foods and prepackaged meals are very convenient and popular. If you do shop for these foods, be sure to look for products that are made with whole grains, low in sodium and calories, and free of trans fats. Make sure you pay attention to serving size, too, and balance out the processed foods you eat with a delicious fresh salad and some whole grain bread.

In general, just try to cook your own food from scratch with whole foods.

Use google and do some research

well, i rarely eat processed food anyways. but i rarely drink water cause i usually tend to forget, and im not thirsty most of the time. but i'll try to do that more often. and im currently on the "cave man regimen" that involves washing with only water. hopefully your method, and the caveman regimen would clear my acne. =/

Drinking water does help a lot I think, but acne is not caused by the foods you eat. I can eat McDonald's everyday and I'll look the same before and after.

If you the products you tried hasn't worked, I'm guessing that you have oily skin, or bacteria seem to thrive on your skin easily.

Have you tried exfoliating?
