I have never seen those movies, so excuse my ignorance if my ideas aren't.. related?

How about you make a box with scenes from the movies?

There was this one project I made in elementary (haha) where there was a roll of paper in a box that you can draw a different scene on
And you basically turn the roll of paper in the box to switch to different scenes. xD
(I'm sorry I don't remember the name of the project)

Or you can just make a box with your own little miniature characters inside?
You could try gathering materials from some store like Michael's to create a setting along with characters.

Maybe you can act out events from the movie in silence? (If that makes any sense)
Like use hand motions and change your facial expressions or something?
Maybe add props to make it more understandable?
