Sleep Paraylsis do you get it?

Paralysis: this occurs after waking up or shortly before falling asleep. The person cannot move any body part, and only has minimal control over blinking, breathing, and very rarely, movement of the jaw. This paralysis is the same paralysis that occurs when dreaming. The brain paralyzes the muscles to prevent possible injury during dreams, as some body parts may move during dreaming. If the person wakes up suddenly, the brain may still think that it is dreaming, and sustains the paralysis.
Hallucinations: Images or speaking that appear during the paralysis. The person may think that someone is standing beside them or they may hear strange sounds. These may be dreamlike, possibly causing the person to think that they are still dreaming. Often it is reported as feeling a weight on one's chest, as if being underneath a person or heavy object.
These symptoms can last from mere seconds to several minutes (although they can feel like much longer) and can be frightening to the person. There may be some body movement, but it is very unlikely and hard for a person to accomplish.
Have you ever had it, or have it happen regularly?
I regularly get it, it was scary at first because its like ur mind is awake but u cant move your body even though youre telling it to but now i know what it is so its not as scary. But it takes alot of effort for me to break out of the trance kinda thing and it makes me really tired so i tend to go back to sleep after and then it happens again, like 3-4 times. I've only hallucinated once though, i thought my cousin was there talking to me but when i was fully conscious, no one was there O_O

Scary stuff, especially when you cease to breathe for a few seconds.

Anyways, I've had it, but I never had demons or ghosts sitting on top of me......... but I did have some hallucinations after a nightmare - so it DID feel like some evil being was there with me, even though I could clearly see my room. And I jerked my eyes wide open... even though it already WAS open, but you gotta force it more.

I woke up and couldn't move for 15-20 seconds (Paralysis). It was a little difficult to breath, too.
At the same time I saw a man's shadow, which went into my wardrobe (Hallucinations).

it said online that people experience sleep paralysis because of extreme stress...and I have totally been stressing out these past couple of weeks.
it sucks. I feel like I'm going to die. but I'm too sleepy to care so I just go back to sleep.

yeah the first link was from me becus i had problems with sleep paralysis. i've had it for 7 years but it's always on and off and very inconsistent. it's really annoying... and i do get scared from time to time.
my psych teacher didn't know much about this sleep problem.. seems like there's not enough research done on it. the only advice i can give you is get sufficient sleep. i don't know why some pple are more prone to waking up during REM [hence the paralyzed feeling] than others. do you get hallucinations & does it get hard to breathe? sometimes i feel like i'm dying.. but then i realize.. i don't think i can ever die from sleep paralysis. that would be one sad death!

The most recent one was just last year. I stayed up the whole night and went to take a nap for a few minutes in the morning.. That's when I got the paralysis. I dreamt of being chased by a murderer than I told myself to wake up because it was too scary.. but when I opened my eyes, I couldn't move my body at all. I thought the murderer got me or something.. ^^" Later I closed my eyes and wait until I can move my body again..
Scary.

I think its possibly due to stress and irregular sleeping.
