I am thinking about moving out this summer, and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions, advise, or warnings. Please tell me about a normal day revolving around your apartment, including the rent, tenants, etc. Do you have to work hard to pay the rent? Do you go to school at the same time? Does that make maintaining (financially and personally) your apartment hard? Just anything you have to say concerning living by yourself in general would help. Thanks. =)

I used to live in an apartment and well...keep on good term with your neighbers because they can get you back. Make sure to get a nice strong lock if you have a wooden door because you don't want it to break.

Im also thinking about moving out for the summer. I went apartment hunting yesterday actually!

The problem is...my friend wants there to be 2 guys living with us...and Im kinda leery about that. Thats the problem with me...Im not worried about LIVING with guys...its just that I dont KNOW these guys. Thats my issue.

And the fact that I want my own room...which can totally happen if they all agree to get a 3 bedroom...and then there is this whole issue with sharing food which I am not comfortable with. I dont like the idea of that.

Sooo the only experience I have to go from is from when I lived in dorms...which was nice my 2nd year...horrible my 1st. Thats why Im kinda strict about moving in with 3 other people cause Ive been there and done that...but its fun ya know?

As for living in an apartment Everything totally depends on YOUR own expectations. RENT, FOOD, LIVING CONDITIONS, RULES, AMMENETIES. Everything in an apartment depends on that. Cause all apartments arent the same...soooo Rent can be based on the layout of the place which it usually is...and then everything that goes with it...like refrigerator! Or Carports!! Those things seem small in the get go but once you think about it those are huge things...things like remote fees...pet fees...UTILITIES!! Thats the ultimate problem in an apartment...those things need to be taken into account.

If you plan to live by yourself your're lucky. You can just base all of your decisions on your own opinions. Which is great. Anyways Im sure that if you have school and and work it shouldnt interfere with your life that much. Everything is pretty much a given. It will feel nice just going back to something that's totally your own after a long day of school or work...or both...or a night of partying...whatever floats your boat.
