Man, adding up tuition, room, food, and all those fees= $$$$$$$$

How are you guys paying for it??

Personally, I'm applying for like as many scholarships possible, I have a need-based aid from the school I plan to attend, and I plan to work like crazy from now till this fall. &&& I'm taking out a lot of loans so yeah sleep.gif

FAFSA, scholarships, loans, and hopefully, a job. Did you apply for FAFSA?

That's how you get need-based stuff ... only through FAFSA. Otherwise your need isn't calculated and sometimes aren't even able to get certain scholarships.

My parents are paying everything out of pocket in the hopes of me graduating soon. I'll probably take out a loan if I stay longer. sleep.gif

I'm getting about 60% from need-based grants from my university. My parents are paying the rest [<-- one of the good parts of having Asian parents]

Job... whatever scholarships I can manage to get, loans. My mom had a fund for me way back when, but she spent it on a mortgage for a house she ended up foreclosing on anyway so lol that sucks a bit.

Loans ;__; -> I'm wondering if there's a max for how much you can borrow though?

In addition, I'm hoping that I win some scholarships I've applied for.

55% grants, 20% loans, 25% out of pocket for my first year.

I hate the loans and I'm struggling to find the money to pay out of pocket. It's just my mom and me, and she has no money saved up for my college fund. Argh, this is so stressful.

no freaking aid from gov at all
except for darn loans

but there's only so much you can borrow each year
so that stinks like heck

gonna get help from family
and possibly get a job (family wants me to focus on studies first and foremost)

going to a CC, financial aid covers my tuition...i haven't gotten a grant in awhile. i think it's bc my gpa is below 3.0 not quite sure ><!!! but i have a job so it's okay. depending on how i feel my parents pay for my books or i will or half half

not sure how it'll work when i transfer though, i'll most likely be transferring to a nearby college and commute and try to waste the least possible amount of money on my education

Parents are paying for it. I'm in the 2nd year currently.
College is much more affordable in my case because I don't eat their food and I don't live there either. It's close to home so I take a taxi everyday~ I only pay for tuition, books and registration.

I have full tuition and after all the scholarships, I get around $5,000 back each year. Isn't that nice? I love my financial aid. In order to renew my scholarships every semester I have to maintain a good GPA. The hard work sure pays off. smile.gif
