The March SAT scores came out yesterday
Just wanted to see what you guys thought about the test.
It was my second time taking it and for some reason I thought it was easier than the November '08 exam..
The essay topic was definitely a lot easier
I remember coming out of the test and feeling somewhat relieved
Although some of the math questions were kind of hard

I did alright for a first time SAT'er I think
Except I wasn't feeling so confident about my scores
after I walked out of the room on test day.
I thought I bombed the essay (which I kind of did)
since I wasn't used to having so much to write
in such little time. At least I will know this for next time (May 2nd)!
I still definitely want to do better since I studied
for a total of about 1 hour for this test..

scores:

CR: 710
Math: 720
Writing: 690 =/
TOTAL: 2120

ughh. I failed.

I was aiming for at least 700+ on each section, but only succeeded in Math.
I was extra disappointed (not that I felt confident afterwards) because I took a Princeton Review class and all the diags I took projected high 600s so i thought I could pull it up, but nooo~ I'm just test stupid. I suck at tests. I HATE TESTS. ESPECIALLY STANDARDIZED TESTS.

Hopefully, June will be the last time for me. I'm taking subject tests next month so I'm focusing on that for now..

im not gonna say my score cuz its slightly embarrassing compared to other soompiers lol
but uhh i did better than my first time. but not as well as i thought. missed my goal by 50 points
i dont wanna take it a third time but i really wanna reach that goal! ugh but may & june are too soon. im not gonna have time to practice with APs and finals coming up. i might have to wait til october and practice all summer

critical reading kicked my ass. 580 X_X which is what i got the 1st time too...im so frustrated cuz i really thought i did better this time.

But I got a 800 on writing so yay! :]

i screwed up. i thought i did fine..

uhm but i have to say, the essay was easier.
nov and dec were harrrrrrrrrrrrrd essays.
even though i didnt get an amazing score on the essay..it was easier.

I aced the math section, but my critical reading & writing are lacking. I did well on my essay (11!) but the multiple choice on the writing killed my score. Any tips on improving the writing questions?

Ohhh haha well, I've always been good at the writing section
The first time I did badly on the essay so I did badly on the writing section
But I got an 11 on my essay as well!
To improve, I'd just start reading a lot, it doesn't matter what you read (newspapers, books, magazines, etc)
THings that would normally have proper grammar stuff
Or watch some American tv shows, not cartoons or anything but like more serious kinds?
I know it's weird but after you read/hear proper grammar
a lot of the grammatical usage starts to just sound right when you're reading the questions/answer choices

My crit reading is sort of lacking too >___<
Ehh.
