Did anyone apply for the scholarship to study abroad this summer, fall or spring from AFS?

I'm still waiting to see if I got the scholarship for the summer program to Korea but I wanted to see if anyone else applied for it too....

^ ah, I totally wanted to do that! But my family's going to China this summer, so I didn't end up applying. China will be fun too, but I really wanted to apply for the summer in Korea 2010.

Were you doing the year program?

I really, really wanted to do a foreign exchange program in Korea while I was still in high school, but I'm graduating in June, so I guess it's a little too late. XD

Yeah, I was on the year program. I left a few months early (it officially ends June 16th) because I issues with my school that I needed to wrap up before heading off to college.

I would encourage people to go for the scholarship if they can, and, while I wouldn't take back my experience, I definitely endorse doing the summer program over the other program lengths if possible. You can always apply for this scholarship again the next year if you want to continue your stay.

Good luck to all the applicants and feel free to ask any questions you'd like. ^^ 화이팅!

I applied for Korea-Summer 2010 but specified that I was up for just about anything.
They say they'll be sending out notices through out April... sad.gif
