I've had no problems before, but I've only made chocolate chip cookies and muffins ^___^;;
I don't really buy butter, but if it's reaaaaallllyyyy good for baking..

Experiences With Substituting Margarine For Butter... in baking?

This could just be a personal preference... but I think that using unsalted butter for baking makes the goods taste richer, butterier, and better in my opinion.
You can try out both. I know margarine is super cheap compared to butter, but if you like butter better.. hey... it's worth it.

people don't really want to use margarine is proabably because of the trans fat. margarine is a copy of butter, because back then saturated fat was the worst type of fat they knew, therefore they created margarine. or something. hahaha.

tried using margarine a few times for cookies and its never as good as using butter.. butter makes it so much richer/tastier/even more moist in my experience. haha

A better question is why you have margarine in the first place. Butter is better than margarine in every aspect EVERY ASPECT!!! Margarine has like this really really gross flavor and it causes heart diseases. Butter is like the secret to all great cooking, that and salt.
