so for FRESHMAN in highschool, my scheudule is going to be like this: english honors, geometry honors, chemistry, a child's world, pe, and french 2^^ im really excited to take the challenge. but this year, there are 45 freshmans in the hs that are taking chemistry and only like 10 of them have A D: and to be in chemistry, you have to take gemetry honors or higher.. and my parents are worried i cant sleep, and now im scared. BUT I REALLY WANT TO TAKE THE SCHEUDLE LIKE THAT T_T i've been excited for that for about 5 months now. but then im having doubts, sounds so hard. should i drop chemistry and take biology? or should i keep my schedule.. thanks~
anyone take a schedule like this? and anyone know how to get all As? and how do you deal with your schedule, like how much time do you spend studying chemistry, how much time do you STUDY overall, and how do you plan out your daily schedule? please explain as much as possible, thank you~

your an incoming freshman am i right?
well, it's up to you weather you want to keep your schedule or not. but as a freshman, you should probably take it slow and have fun while it lasts....unless you want a head start, then go right ahead. i believe you should only be in biology or no science at all....but then again, that depends on what state you live in and the grade you had in Algebra 1. i'm gonna be a sophomore next year and i decided to skip chemistry and take it in junior year. bad choice but the thing is, i'm taking 2 AP classes. my only advice is, learn how to balance your classes. if you think you will fall behind, then make sure to change your schedule ASAP. it's better to do it now than later. some counselors won't change your schedule in the middle of the semester. so make a good choice ^^ i took biology honors as a freshman, and it's a breeze.
not to brag or anything, but it's really easy to get all A's during freshman year. i'm a current freshman and i'm finishing off in 2 months. as hard as it seems, getting all A's is not a problem. as long as you work hard and balance your schedule, you would get the grade you deserve. just make sure to study for tests, listen during class, and do your homework. oh...and a piece of advice, try not to procrastinate. LOL. i did that a lot and it kinda dragged the quality of my projects/homework etc...
hope this helped. good luck ^^

^ Because biology is easier than chemistry (in my opinion) lol.
Really, you shouldn't worry so much about it. Chemistry wasn't too horrible for me; I got straight A's in that class, and science is the subject I'm most weak in.
If you like chemistry, then why worry? You'll like learning the subject, and thus it will be easier for you to study for it. If you find that you're not getting some concepts right away, then instantly after classes or after school go ask your teacher for help or tutoring. Or form mini study groups with some of your friends or peers to study for stuff so you can all work together to understand things. (Study groups work especially well for strenuous calculus problems
) Plus it's better to get used to better time management and study habits early on because it will really be needed once you get to 11th grade or when you're in college.
Also take into consideration that teachers are slightly more lenient for freshman year because they think people are "adjusting" to high school. And be friends with your teacher... or have good relations with them. Teachers definitely are more lenient to kids they like/work hard and will also write you some good rec letters.

I think your schedule looks fine, but aren't you required to take some type of history? And I guarantee you'll be able to sleep, freshman year isn't too difficult if you try. All I can tell you is Honors Geometry is pretty easy if you're good at math. If you take Chemistry and it ends up being difficult for you, you can dropout and be in Biology.

Doesn't matter when you take it, but I'd definitely recommend taking at least these courses sometime in your high school career:
-Science at least 3 years - best if at least one year of each basic one (Biology 1, Chemistry 1, Physics 1)
-Math all 4 years (Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-calc, Calc)
-English all 4 years
-History at least 3 years
-Foreign Language at least 3 years
^---these are usually the recommended subjects/year by colleges
Your course load is very manageable. You can definitely get a lot of sleep. Okay what I'm going to say next is going to sound pretty rude, but if you think this courseload is hard and you might not get much sleep how are you going to handle APs?

First off, knowing who teaches the class is important!
If you're worried about a certain class, try to gain as much info. about the class/teacher as possible.
Since you're going into French 2, you probably know some freshmen at the high school as well, so ask them.
(Unless you're just good at French, which in case, if you have any siblings you should try asking them .__.)
I regret taking Chemistry Honors because it's the complete opposite of Biology and my teacher just. can't. teach.
But if for example, your regular Chemistry teacher curves your test grades, then you might still be able to pass the class even if you're terrible at it.
There are people in our high school's regular Chemistry class who failed the test (got a D) but due to the grading curve, earned a B.
And if you're generally good with formulas, Chemistry shouldn't be too difficult for you.
..Other than memorizing the elements and whatnot lol.
But overall your schedule kind of looks hectic for freshmen year, but if you have plenty of time on your hands + perseverence, I'm sure you can handle it!
Geometry isn't too difficult, but then again I took regular so I wouldn't know about honors.
English Honors was ALOT of work for me though and it almost made me lose my mind having to continuously write original arguments for essays.
And our teacher required us to have to write a page everyday in our notebook =__=
(But it might be different for you if you have an easier teacher)
High school is on a different level than middle school, so if you have a buttload of time now, you will regret ever wasting it. xD
So take advantage of your youth! (LOL I sound so old =_=)
