What Manga do you find has appealing Art to you? And what is considered good Art ? Does it have to be detailed? I guess it sometimes has to do with personal preferences, I might like a particular art style that some others might not find attractive and vice versa. I quite like Ai YAZAWA, Fuyumi Soryo and Tsukasa Hojo's Art. I haven't read much Manga though and I'm sort of old fashioned, lol. So, what Manga art do you like? Do you go for a particular style?

i like the ones that are kinda detailed and at the same time lots of details but i like realistic sometimes caz its cool

i like how the mangaka artist actually make them look like their age and sometimes not their age

me like and love mangaka artists Fujiwara Hiro, Amano Akira, CLAMP, Kano Yasuhiro, Sugisaki Yukiru and many others that i cant name all!

I personally love Shoujo art style.
Like Yuu Watase's works.

She's my inspiration when it comes to drawing manga.

Toboso Yana, hands down. She draws the men hot and the women sexy.



Oh, and I also like Kubo Tite's current art style. He draws the men pretty hot, too.



As you can see, I'm picky when it comes to how my bishounen are drawn. If they're drawn unattractively, then I tend to ignore the manga, regardless of plot.

Unattractive artwork with great story just doesn't do for me. I mean I must be probably bored or the manga is exceptionally AWESOME and beyond my expectations if ever I read a messy artwork. lol. Character design is what making me read a manga, whether the story will be likeable or not, I will still enjoy it in the end. I prefer Watase Yuu, Yazawa Ai and Minami Kanan's characters. Their works are just fabulous.

^ Agreed about the first part. I can stand reading a boring plotline with nice art but when there's art that I don't like, I won't stand it XD.

I like Toboso Yana a lot as well. As for other artists, I'll be truthful: I can't remember. LOL XD. I've been lacking in the manga department lately. buuu >3>

same with me... i dont mind 'unattractive artwork', and will read it if it has good recommendations... but im drawn more towards pretty, detailed artwork. Watase Yuu is a favourite.

oh and i agree with ARCTIC - Kubu Tite's artwork has changed dramatically but in a good way. the guys look hotter now - if you look back at the beginning, ichigo looks really young XD

what i hate is how a mangaka's drawing style changes - the ones that get me are Fruits basket and Hana Kimi. The characters images change when the series has been drawn for a long time, and it annoys me! (unlike bleach, they get weirder and... i dunno, distorted?)

sigh i dunno if that makes much sense, but thats what i think, anyways
