august 29th --> goes on for a week.

double...it's nice i guess since i don't have a lot of roommates to worry about and have one other person
but, my dorm hall is all female...I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing
It's gonna suck hauling my cr@p up stairs since i got the old fashioned one without elevators -0-

For a double, the room is really small so I'm not excited about that part. Definitely getting a loft kit to free up space in the room, I think I'll just wake up really early on the first day and sit in front of the front desk in my PJ's. Haha, but the building we're living in is the honors college with the advisor's office in the building and 24-hour computer lab. we live in the nerdiest tri-plex with the engineering and substance free dorms next door.

^I'm living in an all female hall too. Well, just the floor we're living on is all female. My roommate wanted a room on that floor so we picked one there. I don't really mind too much.

Ahh, I need to practice driving more so I can get my license. It's sad how I'm almost 18 and I don't have my license yet :[

Dorm assignments don't come out until mid-August. =/

I'm trying to get into the double room cluster format. So 4 double rooms with a common room and bathroom.

what ! Stephen said what you guys got was your temporary dorms for orientation. Then you have the choice to reapply for another dorm or stay in your orientation dorm.

My orientation starts August 27, 8pm until school starts...which is Sept ..1? 2?

And I find out about my roommates and dorm next week!

im sure ur parents like that dorm. being all-girls and all honor-y... my mom was like get the all girls dorm!! get the all girls dorm!! and after i got co-ed suites..my mom was like, crap, i told you to get the all-girls dorm!! ..hmm..we'll see how this works out.

and i also need to drive mannn i have my road test on august 6...and i can't parallel park for my life. x_x

um...yea...what he said is true, but since i'm satisfied with my temp room, im going to choose to stay in that dorm, and only participate in the in-dorm rush... but the dorm has the same type of rooms, so i know what type i'll be getting. from wat i kno, stephen didn't realli..pay attention to housing (lmao!) and put random things down or something....so he'll prolly change it up; maybe .. ionno.

Only the floor I'm living on is all-girls, the rest of the floors are co-ed by neighbor. At orientation, we got a tour of the place and this is the only thing my parents said, "Your room is small". Thanks Mom and Dad

hey, my drive test is on August 15 and I can't parallel park either, haha.

I don't start school for another two months basically :[ I would rather start early and end early.

Me too! Im leaving on the 15th of august and i've already started packing haha. Its hard, since im flying out to st louis, but i get two free check in luggages so theres that... I got a modern double, which is basically two double rooms sharing a bathroom. First choice so im happy. Co-ed floor. Im so excited to just meet new people.

I live about 2 hours away from mine. Not that far from home...the only downside of going to usc

Uh guys..............I live 15 20 mins away from my school. x_x I'm expected to go home at least 2 times a month, especially since my grandparents are visiting for half a year.

If I take public transportation, then it's like an hour away.
If I drive, then it's around 40 minutes. But I don't have a car, so I can't drive anyways :X.
I'm planning to go home on some of the weekends

dang, you're lucky! i just got back this morning from visiting my relatives in seattle, and we walked around the uw campus because my uncle used to work there. ahhh, the library was so pretty (from the outside at least). i liked the campus; there's also good food in the area, hahaha. namely a delicious cake shop in fremont.

i live 1.5 hrs away from home. sometimes i regret not getting out of the state but oh well. but yeah, i'll be living in an all girls dorm which supposedly has the largest rooms for freshman. and it's closer to the rest of campus which means a shorter walk through the cold and snow during winter.

heh, i actually just got my permit recently, so i still need to learn before i even tackle taking my road test.

and i'm getting pretty excited to finally study what i'm interested in! to be honest though, sometimes i have moments where i get a little nervous...^^;

I live about two hours away from home but I intend on visiting on breaks only, at least for the first two terms. I'll visit home more often in the spring time when I get a car. I also told my friend in high school, if he wins his tennis match against the toughest school in their league, I'd treat him to a meal, so I'm going go watch him play, haha.

all my siblings and cousins are off to college or out of college living far away

and im tired of the area i live in
too quiet and not enough things to do
