Jenny, enjoy your freedom while it lasts! I don't know how it is at MIT, but at WashU, we architects started studio right away. I've already experienced my first late night studio work, and another project is due on Wednesday, when we also have to bring model-building materials (basswood, exacto knife), so I"m assuming we're moving directly from one project to another (although they're related). I'm probably not making much sense.

after four years i only get a bachelor of science so yah....i can't even declare architecture until sophomore year; but i'm taking the first studio in spring semester. sounds exciting tho! dude, you know the cool thing is? architecture ppl seem to get mad respect...like when i say i'm doing archi..ppl are like...ooooh..........GET READY TO GO INSANE GUYS!!!

Oh I'm in a BS or BA (choose later) program as well, but we still have design studio. They're not like designing actual buildings and stuff. Hmm. Let's see, right now, we're working on a project that will continue in mini projects throughout semester. we took a picture of an object, and zoomed in and took another picture, so that we had a series of four photos showing the progression of the images, and the last picture would be an abstract, close-up of a pattern. So, we're now doing a line drawing tracing that pattern (only straight lines), and then we're going to make several 3D models, I think, based off that line drawing.

Anyways, yeah people seem to know that archis are wayy intense. In fact, when I went to Rice and people found out I was an archi major, they were like WHOAA. And I didn't even know that archis had such intense schedules at that time. Haha, what did i get myself into. JK I'm enjoying it so far .

I moved in like three days ago! I love it here! Even though I have to take a bus to the main campus and it's usually really full of kids, Newton is a really nice freshman campus. I'm having a lot of fun at the Welcome Week events.

My floormates are beginning to get on my nerves a bit though =\ It feels like it's high school all over again since it's one floor of girls and three floors of guys...

I can't wait for classes to start! I have only one class my first day (because the other thing was only a discussion, but my prof cancelled that).

I haven't been on soompi for such a long time (aside from my Jaebum post!...Q@$*()@%#*()@#* stupid netizens...Jaebum baby ).

Anyways, I finally got my last section placement. I was so excited when I heard I only have to take 4 classes, but then I learned I had all these stupid sections. meh Taking easy math to fulfill part of pre-med req of 1 year of calc and then taking advanced math next term to fulfill other part of pre-med req and my probable major. And Swedish didn't work out with my schedule.
