I've been trying to get my legs skinnier. I'm pear shape, I'm really skinny on the top (32A-cool.gif but my thighs and calves are really big. I've been dieting and eatting as healthy as possible and jogging and doing leg exercises in the morning but the only difference I'm noticing is that I'm getting skinnier on the top and my legs are a bit more tone. I'm 5'3 and 110lbs, but my thighs still touch when i stand or walk and it feels so uncomfortable. I think its a good healthy weight but i wish i could do something about my legs (hahaha if only you can move your body fat around from thighs to boobs). Is it even possible to get skinny legs when your born with short chubby legs?

Has anyone actually achieved from going pear shape to have nice skinny legs? I would love to wear a skirt without having to feel embarassed and insecure. And any tips and exercises would be greatly appreciated!

easy stationary cycling helps. you don't even have to try hard, just read a book for an hour. My legs got way skinnier. Also college forced me to walk for about 30 minutes so perhaps you should try that as well.

eliptical trainer and pilates. the great thing about pilates is that you're increasing flexibility and building lean muscles which will help slim down your legs.

I have a similar body shape... I'm a size 0 for tops but size 4 for bottoms. :/

I'd say keep up the jogging, but in addition to the leg exercises, work out your other muscles as well.

There's nothing wrong with your thighs touching. Are you trying to become a skeleton? Many men appreciate women having some meat on their bottoms. smile.gif Anyways ... I have skinny legs but they're more toned, and thighs still touch.

I think you should tone your legs -- toned legs are sexy! Try swimming, doing leg exercises on the machines ... there are so many leg exercises out there it's not even funny.

hmmm. i've been running the treadmill for a couple weeks now, for like two weeks straight, and i've seen changes in my legs. their more toned and skinner also. but also stretch too, and do some lunges or something. and do heel lifts. they usually work too. D: sorry, i'm not much help. but running has helped me a lot though. run for like three miles straight and you'll deff see results. hehe. <3

I think running for longer distances create leaner muscles. Just try not to run/sprint for short distances or else you'll develop bulky, red muscles. Yeah.....lol. I'm going to try running for longer distances because I'm shaped like a bowling pin......except my head is super tiny...... sleep.gif Hahaha.

Thighs touching has nothing to do with weight and everything to do with your hip size. People with wider hips means their legs are further apart from each other, so their thighs do not touch.

I'm heavier than you (same height and bust measurement) but my thighs do not touch. If weight had to do with it, it would make no sense.

I'm exactly the same as you! I walk for about half an hour a day and eat really healthy, but nothing seems to be working sleep.gif
