Help!!!! So I was on yahoo answers looking up answers on face masks and I clicked a website that the person with an answer provided. When I clicked it, the Adobe pdf showed up out of nowhere, and now I keep getting the symantec antivirus notification popping up. It says that the virus, hacktool I think, was deleted and access was denied, but if it was deleted, how come it keeps popping up? Was it because of the website? I remember I used to get the notification when I went on mangafox.com too and after I stopped going on the website, I didn't get it anymore. What can i do to stop the notifications from popping up every 20 minutes?! I already erased the cookies cache and ect, scanned my computer and found no viruses, turned on the windows firewall, but what else can I do? If I don't have the virus, why does the antivirus notification keep on popping up?
Can anyone help me?
I'm so frustrated and my parents would kill me if they knew I got a virus on the computer D:

Clear your temporary internet files/cookies/history

Download malwarebytes http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti...4-10804572.html scan and remove whatevers there. Its a somewhat good sign that your antivirus keeps warning you, it means that it is still able to detect problems.

Thats so weird, I was on mangafox today and all of a sudden they tried to open my adobe acrobat and I didn't know and all of a sudden a pop up comes out it said "not operational" and I just clicked out of the box. Then maybe like 10 minutes later my antivirus pops up and says I have a bunch of trojan viruses on my comp and a bunch of windows started to pop up but it said "internet denied" or something.

this all happened on my laptop and I'm on my PC writing this right now, can anyone help me? I don't want to reformat my the laptop. I have important things on there I didn't save to my external hard drive yet.

Try downloading the free version of malwarebytes and scan your computer with it. I'm sure it will find something... I've had that issue before because my brother was reading mangas online. There are a couple of posts about malwarebytes on this troubleshoot forum, so if you have questions regarding it, someone might answer.

I can lend my help.

Optionally, I'd want you to look for your connection status from system tray [ bottom right of your taskbar ].
Look for "Sent". Does it keep going up fast like every second or even less? (The number)
If so, disconnect/disactivate your internet right now. And use another clean computer to follow my instructions (and prepare an USB key to transfer the downloaded files).

For your infected computer:
Scan with malwarebytes as mentioned up there. (Don't forget to update it first before the scan).
Once it's done, I won't need the log yet.
By then, get HJT:

Scan and save a log file and copy everything inside and post them here (or in PM if you want).
I'll take a look to see if we would be forced to use combofix to help us and look up for some C:\autorun.pnf or C:\autorun.inf and read codes and trace everything there to know what the malware is doing and what it has been doing. Some malwares would create a very hidden partition and hide there (with .exe, .com, .bat files mostly), to regenerate those infections at every start of your "explorer.exe". They are not scanned as the partition is hidden. Also, autorun is rarely detected as a threat in many scanners. If you get infected by those high level of malwares, expect some tough works I'm gonna give you (involving registry editor).
