did you seriously expect the food in Ads to be like what you actually get?
when's the last time you ate any food that looked as good as the commercials (fast food, red lobster, chili's, applebees, etc)

You do realize, they "touch" up the foods when they film commercials or take pics for ads right?

Like they add paint or glaze to make them look like they are more colourful or shinier
And obviously they'll pick the best piece of lettuce or the best shaped burger bun when making ads

you can't expect the restaurants to have the same fresh looking lettuce everytime, food doesn't grow the same anyways

All of the sandwiches look smashed and it looks like they've been sitting out for hours o_O

i saw the people making those foods for advertisements on tv
sometimes they don't even use real food and just use food 'props' and all these touch ups

besides, it's frozen then heated up
so it can't rly retain its shape and color

LOL. Did you know they don't actually cook the food? For pictures, they always either cook it half way or don't cook it at all, and then they add some touch-ups to make it look nice.

Whenever I go to fast food places, I would always compare the food I got to the food in the ads xD.

I don't really care about how my sandwich/meal looks except when it happens that someome have spat on it, or have trampled on it.
Actually, for me, the worst is opening the sandwich to see how does it look like inside and then think about what's really in (cook's personnal added thing or not)
